Nyctalgia's POV
"Nyctalgia flew!"
I smiled brightly and giggled like a little kid would. Lucid smiled and raised and eyebrow at me.
"So you wanted to barge into my work and bring me lunch to test out your new wings?"
I nodded and smiled again, "Yep! You gotta try it it's fun!"
He laughed, "I don't know how to work my wings yet little bro." He place a hand on my head and ruffled my hair.
I set the stuff down on his desk and pulled him by his wrists so that he was in front of me. I smiled and pushed him towards the open window.
"Dude, what are you doing?"
I chuckled, "Sorry bro! Ya gotta go!"
I pushed him out the window and he yelled. Steve appeared next to me, "What if his wings don't work?"
"Then I'll swoop out and get him."
He nodded and gave me a thumbs up, and I flew out the window and flapped near the building. Just then Lucid flew back up at me and nearly ran me INTO the building.
"Don't kill me bro! Come on have a little fun!"
He slapped me upside the head and glared at me as he flapped next to me in his gray suit. His wings were like angel wings, except they were gray and the tips of the wings were teal. And there's me over there with the devil wings.
"That doesn't mean you push me out a god damn window!!!"
I smiled sheepishly and shrugged, "How else would I have gotten you to fly?!"
"You could've asked."
"What would you've said?"
I raised my eyebrows at him and stared at him like I already knew the answer.
"No."
"Exactly. So when push comes to shove! I push back harder!"
I gave him a thumbs up and flew back in the building before he could slap me again.
Steve looked at us for a moment and hand his hand on his chin, "So when did you guys get wings! You could've flown me to work if you've always had 'em!!!" I smiled and chuckled at him, "Well sorry to burst your bubble but we only just got 'em like a day ago."
I pat him on the back and he frowned at me in a funny way.
"So if that like a puberty thing then?"
I shrugged, "I dunno."
He stuck his tongue out at me and I smiled. I suddenly remembered something and I grabbed Lucid's shoulders.
"Dude! I figured something out this morning after you left!"
He smirked, "What that you can fly?"
I rolled my eyes and smiled, "Yes I learned I can fly, but I learned something else to!"
"Well I have a question for you Nyctalgia."
I looked at him and he looked at me as if I was stupid.
"Why are you wearing eyeliner and black clothing?"
"Am I not allowed to change my own sense of fashion?"
"Well I never said.."
"Then shush ur bum and let me wear what the fuck I wanna wear. For gosh sakes I swear I just wanted to be emo and your judging me!"
"I'm not judging you!"
"Are to!"
"Are not!"
"R 2!"
"Stop making Star Wars references."
I smiled and laughed, "Can't it's who I am!" He rolled his eyes and smiled at me. "You got piercing too I see."he raised his eyebrows and crossed his arms.
"Yep! Got dem snake bites, an eyebrow piercing, and I got another set of ear piercings!"
"Like you didn't have enough holes in your ears."
"Hey I had two to start with not I just added two more to my right ear."
I pointed at him and he swiped my hand away chuckling. "Like that's any difference. Did you go to the store and do it?"
"Nope! Actually I did it myself!"
I laughed and grabbed my earlobes.
"I got holes in my flesh!"
"Now your making Dan and Phil references are we now! Trying to make the readers happy, or are you just and internet slut?" He chuckled and shoved me lightly.
"Both."
"Stop talking to the readers."
"Never!"
Steve walked in between us and placed a hand in both of our chests, "Quick question, what 'readers' are you talking about?" I took hold of the back of his shirt and shoved him against the screen.
"Those little suckers right there."
"Nyctalgia don't call 'em suckers their the ones that read the story and get others reading it as well."
"Fine, you guys are beautiful and amazing people and thank you for reading our life story so far. There is that better?"
He knocked me upside the head and smiled, "Yes you little shit." I chuckled and held the back of my head.
"Can I not be squished against the screen anymore?"
I let Steve go and he straightened and fixed his shirt and hair.
"Steve your hair looked fine. You didn't need to fix it." He flipped me off and I chuckled.
"Okay what was this thing that you found out?"
"Right! I found out something cool that I can do with my power!"
"Besides giving yourself piercings?"
I frowned at him and he snickered.
"I figured out that I can shape-shift into different things!"
"Like anything?"
"No I found out early if I try and turn into JUST anything there's a bright flash and the room or where ever I'm standing will get messed up and then I have to clean it up."
"So what can you turn into then?"
"Only things that are considered monsters, demons, ghost, etc." I named them off and counted them off on my fingers.
"But won't the monster or whatever make you do evil things?"
I shook my head and smiled, "Nope! I have complete control over what I do!"
"Prove it."
"You want me to scare your co-workers?"
"Just turn into something small or something not to scary."
"Suit yourself."
I rolled my shoulders back and cracked my neck and then took a deep breath. I shrunk and became so skinny someone could've snapped my bones with ease. I was crouched on the ground and made a coughing noise as my body finished changing.
Lucid's POV
"What the literal fuck."
I stared down at my brother who had now turned into a Gollum-like creature and was crouched near my desk.
"That's bloody disgusting."
"How do you think we's feels? My...precious..." He acted like he was gonna lunge at me and I stumbled backwards an leaned against another desk.
"Dude stop!"
He starts to change again. He became taller and his skin paler.
"Why? I've only just started!"
He now looked like a teenager version of joker, but with a more punk style than the fancy stuff he normal wore.
"Dude stop!"
I laughed and he chuckled the creepy laugh that joker was known for. Then he gasped and grabbed the front of my shirt.
"Dude!"
He now looked like Jeff the Killer and was smiling like a little kid, but he looked like a kid that should be in and insane asylum.
"I wonder if I can turn into a Titan from Attack on Titan!!!!"
His eyes were sparkling in excitement and he almost looked adorable if it weren't for the dried blood on his face and his mouth cut into a never ending smile. I smiled and place a hand on his head, "I bet you can lil bro. Just don't do it in here."
"Then whe.."
Suddenly there was a loud crash that shook the building and screams could be heard from the streets below. We all ran towards the Windows and looked down at the street to see people running away from a skyscraper down the street. It was up in flame and we could see people trapped in the building banging on the Windows and running around in terror.
Nyctalgia and I both looked at each other.
"Are we.."
"Yep."
We both jumped out the window before anybody could ask what we were gonna do.
"Lucid!"
Geena was yelling after us and I turned and looked back.
She looked scared but she smiled slightly, "Don't kill yourself!"
I smiled and nodded, "Wouldn't dream of it!"
"Just shut up and go on a fuckin date already!"
Geena and I both blushed. I speed up and Nyctalgia yelled after me as I sped towards the building.
"Oi! Smash threw the windows would you!"
He nodded and his skin changed again and he looked like a bat hybrid. 'The real batman everybody! He'll be here all week!' He opened his mouth and I covered my ears as I heard the loudest screech ever heard. I thought my ears were gonna start bleeding. There was a an EXTREMELY loud shattering noise as all the windows broke, and rained down to the pavement below.
"Ok this shape-shifting thing will come in handy a lot."
"Told u."
We started grabbed as many people as we could carry and taking them down to the ground but it was taking way to long.
"Dude this building is gonna collapse before we can get 'em all out!"
"No shit man!"
"Should I go titan?"
I looked at him and then sighed, "Fine but let me tell 'em all first before they freak out."
I flew up until I heard my voice echo throughout the building.
"Everybody! My brother is going to turn into something really big so that he can get you all out before the building collapses! So do not freak out if you see a giant person in front of you! Ok! Ok!"
I fell back down and Nyctalgia curled into a ball and there was a bright flash of light and he stood before me as a giant, man eating, Titan. 'I hope he doesn't eat people. He still has his pink stripe in his hair even as a Titan? Well at least I'll be able to tell its him.'
He walked up to the building and held out his hands so the rest of the people on the upper levels could jump out onto his palms and climb up on his shoulders. Almost everybody was out just as the building was about ready to collapse. Then we heard some one scream from inside the building. I flew straight towards the sound. Nyctalgia tried to stop me by grabbing at me but I maneuvered around him until I came to a woman trapped under a rather large slab of roofing. She looked at me in hope and in fear as if thinking she might not get out.
"Please...please help me!"
"Don't worry I'm not gonna leave you here! Just hang on!"
I started to try and lift the thing off of her but gosh damn was if heavy. I maybe got it and inch off of her and I couldn't lift it anymore.
I heard a loud crunching noise as the building started to fall.
"Shit."
Something grabbed me and the girl and we were yanked out just before the thing fell onto us. I looked up and saw Nyctalgia in his titan form looking down at me sadly and whining. There were at least a hundred people standing on his shoulders and on his head. The girl from the building was clinging to my arm and crying.
"Hey, hey it's okay now. Your safe."
"Thank you... Thank you so much.."
"Hey don't thank me thank my bro right there."
She looked up and he tilted his head slightly not enough U make the people fall but enough to make her smile a little. He raised us up to where we were eye level with him and she stood up and walked over to the edge of his hand. She reach up and placed her hands on his nose and smiled, "Thank you."
He smiled and made a happy little rawr, if that's what you wanna call it. You be the judge! She giggled and hugged his nose and he whined happily making her laugh more. He bent down and all the people carefully climbed down offa him. I flew up and landed on his shoulder after everyone else was off.
"Ok bud, time to go back to work."
I pat the side of his ear and he grunted and slowly turned to face my work place. Everyone that we just saved was cheering and following us from below as Nyctalgia walked us back to YouTube. He grabbed me and placed me back down on my floor. Someone embraced me before I knew what the hell was happening. It was Geena. I smiled.
"You've only known me for half a day and your already hugging me."
She smiled shyly, "What I was worried! I don't want one of my bosses dying!"
"I'm your co-worker not your boss."
"Then your my master and I'm the apprentice."
I shrugged, "Cool with me."
Nyctalgia rawred slightly and we both turned and looked at him. He had his head shoved in through the window and was rolling his eyes at us.
"What?"
He grunted and whined at me.
"No! Not happening!"
He whined loudly and gave me the cutest titan puppy dog face I've ever seen, probably the only one I've ever seen. Whatever. I sighed, "Fine."
He rawred happily and he wiggled his ears in delight.
"What'd he say?"
Geena looked at me curiously.
"He wants me to ask you out on a date."
I smiled at her nervously.
She looked shocked then she smiled.
"So I guess I should be asking.."
"I'd love to."
My eyes widened, "Wait, just like that."
She nodded, "Yep!"
I blew out a long whistle, "I think that's the fastest I've ever gotten a date."
Steve came up behind me and grabbed my shoulders, "And you said it wouldn't happen anytime soon."
"Steve."
"Hm?"
"Fuck off."
He laughed, "Fine whatever man!"
I turned and looked at Nyctalgia, "Are you happy now you lil shit?" He nodded his head happily. I chuckled, "You little bitch ass bitch buttin into my love life."
He leaned closer to me and he licked me with his big ass tongue.
"Eww! Gross man!"
He rawred and pulled his head out of the window and laughed.
I smiled and shook my head, "Goof ball."
He rawred again and I held my hand out to him. He leaned forward until my hand was resting on his nose.
"You better go get me new clothes you lil shit head."
He nodded and rawred once more and turned away back towards our apartment.
