"And she laughed so hard that milk came out of her nose." South explained. We were having our yearly video chat. It's been a few years, even though I'm the oldest, I'll always be 18. The girls are 26 now.

"That's awesome!" I said laughing. "Hey, listen. I'm going to go. Merry Christmas! See you next year." I heard old music that was popular back when we were in middle school from North's living room. Pentatonix. They switched off the camera.

I walked outside to see Lucy sitting at a picnic table. Alone. She's never alone. I went and sat down next to her.

"What's up? Shouldn't you be having Christmas dinner?"
"I was going to ask the same about you." She replied.
"I just finished it."
"And I am not hungry."

A water bender walked outside with a book in hand. He sat down on a bench and began reading.

"Oh, Michael must be done with his meal too." She said. "I have had a crush on him for a while." Then she snapped out and covered her mouth. "I mean... He... I just.. I don't..." I cut her off by laughing. "It's okay. Talk to him." I pushed her playfully.

She slowly walked up and sat down on the bench. Michael looked up from his book. "Oh hey Lucy. No wonder the bench seemed warm."

Lucy blushed. "What is the title of that book?" She asked. I decided to leave them alone and read myself.

The fire was on, even though I didn't need it. It just adds a cozy feeling. I miss my family, but I'm grateful to see them once a year.

I'll never forget us. I'll never forget West, South, North, East and Sierra. Fighting side by side.

I'll never forget my family.
