"princess. i called him princess." was the only thing going through calum's mind.

he was mentally slapping himself in the face-scratch that, he really was slapping himself in the face.

he soon got to class, sat down, head in his hands.

//skip to the end of the day//

calum walked out of his class with luke still on his mind and a ton of homework he wasn't gonna do in his backpack.

in the corner of his eye, he spotted an all too familiar pair of black vans by the lockers.

calum thought, "ok, here's my chance. maybe i can make myself seem like less a creep this time."

he slowly approached the small blonde boy, his old converse-clad feet barely picking up off the floor.

luke shut his locker only to be met with the tall maori boy's face.

luke flinched slightly, but stared at calum with those big blue doe eyes of his.

calum just of kind stared back at luke until luke cleared his throat, snapping calum out his trance.

"oh-um-you-i-er-i like your face," calum blurted. eyes widening when he realized what he had just said.

"you like my fac-" luke questioned with a quirked eyebrow.

"wait-um-i-i meant t-" calum stuttered out.

"it's okay calum, i like your face too." luke said with a small smile and blush.

calum stood there like a zombie, because luke hemmings just said he liked calum's face.

sure, all the girls and boys in his town thought he was hot, but this was luke hemmings. the boy he's been infatuated with since pre-school.

luke decided to break the awkwardness, by doing the unthinkable, the unbelievable, the extraordinary, and walking into calum and wrapped his arms around his waist.

calum couldn't believe it, but he wrapped his much larger arms around the small boy, and then guess what?

luke reached up slightly on his tip-toes, and kissed the side of calum's jaw, and walked away with nothing but small wave and a smile.

so there calum was. standing by luke's locker a frozen and blushing mess because luke hemmings just hugged him and kissed him. why were they always leaving each other like this?
