---- one month later ----
Only one month until this little one is born, and Luke will be home. The tours are almost over and I'm going crazy not being able to see them.
I've been setting up the nursing room for when it is born. I still need to buy a few things today so mum is taking me. "You're so far along sweetie." She smiled. "Another little baby running around."
"This motherhood idea keeps getting better and better as we plan for everything." I climbed out of the car and walked in the shopping centre.
"Mary? Bree?" We heard someone calling out to us. We turned around to see two figures walking up to us. "It is you two!" The woman smiled approaching us. "My how you have both changed! How many years has it been since we saw each other last? Oh I'm guessing you don't remember me, I do look very different from Harmony's funeral."
"Belinda?" I questioned and she smiled. I walked into her arms and hugged her tightly. "We haven't seen you since that day! You just sort of disappeared."
"I did go into isolation for a few months until I met Todd in a psychologist appointment." She smiled to the man standing next to her. "I realised I needed help getting through Harmony's passing."
"I was her psychologist for a few months but we grew quite fond of each other. And the law states I'm not allowed to date a patient of my own so she changed psychologists and we began dating, happily for 2 years now roughly."
"Oh Linda." Mum smiled and hugged her. "I'm so happy for you! It has been so long. Would you like to head out to coffee with us later?"
"That sounds like a great plan. Maybe 3pm?" She suggested.
"Call it a date." I laughed. "See you then." We parted ways and began shopping for last minute things to help make my parenthood easier. So many tools and books and appliances to help any first time parents through their first few stressful weeks with their new born.
I'm so grateful mum was here with me to help pick things. I love Luke to death, but he'd have no idea and we'd both get tired to the point of heading home and sleeping until the next day, not that I really mind but we wouldn't get anything done.
We headed back to the car to load it up with our newly bought items before heading to the cafe to meet Belinda and Todd. I sat down at a table while mum went and order a drink for both of us.
"Bree? From Cellophane?" A young girl asked walking over to me.
"Hello? You must be a fan?" I asked and she grinned. "How are you?" I smiled standing and hugging her gently.
"So much better now! And wow you're beautiful in person. And your baby bump!"
"Aw." I laugh a little. "Do you want a photo?" She quickly grabbed her phone out and took a selfie before hugging me again and walking off just as Belinda and Todd arrived and sat down with me.
"Hi Bree." She smiled to me. "So I've been checking up on you via social media." She smiled. "Even if I wasn't going to be in your life I still wanted to keep track."
"Oh Belinda." I smiled. "I wish I knew what happened to you in the last few years. Mum and I really really missed you."
Hi guys. Sorry it's a really short chapter.
