Ashley's PoV
I got a lot of strange looks when I initially walked into the hospital, I mean, a fully grown man with long hair and tattoos carrying a small child who is dressed in pjs and he is trying not to have a panic attack right where he stood? Yeah that's gonna look kinda weird. But anyway, I asked for Dr. Hawthorne and when she came down she immediately had me follow her through to what I assume is her office.

"Alright Ashley, please take a seat." I followed her instruction and sat down with Ryann on my knee, half asleep.

"Please, what's going on?" I ask, almost a whisper, I feared the worst already.

"Miss Borkitz was in a car accident earlier this evening and I'm afraid it's not good news." She smiled sympathetically, I knew it, I knew something bad had happened, "Is she your child?" She asked referring to Ryann

"Yeah why?" I asked, confused why she needed such information,

"Is there anyone she could go with for a little?" She paused to see if I would answer, but I didn't, I couldn't answer cause she only had me and her mom, "Maybe her mom, or a family friend."

"There's no one, and Aurora is her mom." I spoke, slightly tense, I didn't want to let my baby go with anyone except me,

"Oh I'm so sorry, maybe she could go sit with one of the nurses, I just don't think you would want her to hear this right now." I was reluctant to agree to this but I did, whatever's happened to Aurora I want Ryann to hear it from me.

While Dr. Hawthorne went to get the nurse I tried to get Ryann a little more alert, keyword;tried. It was way past her bed time and she was exhausted.

"Okay, so this is Nurse Emmitt, but just call her Nikki." She introduced the young nurse when she teetered the office, she looked sweet, and kind, long natural blonde hair tied back in a high pony and natural tan skin, she looked quiet young, younger than me anyway,

"Hey sweetheart, what's your name?" Nikki said bending down to Ryann's height,

"Ryann." Ry said quietly before hiding her face in my chest, she's always been so shy meeting new people

"Aw that's a beautiful name, Ryann." Nikki said standing again while holding out her hand, she actually sounding like she meant it, most people question out sanity when the find out we gave her a traditionally 'boys' name.

Ryann reached out to hold her hand as she stood from her place in my lap, she looked back at me, I nodded my head with a soft smile on my face to say the it was okay, she nodded her head back in understanding as she turning and followed Nikki out the office, once they were a small distance away Dr. Hawthorne turning to address me,

"Now Ashley, if you could please follow me." She said as she began to exit her office with me following closely at her heals.

While sitting in the waiting room, the events of the last few hours slowly started to sink in and that brought more tears to my eyes, I didn't want to be alone right now, reaching into my pocket I pulled out my phone and switched it back on, it had been off for a week now so it was no surprise when it immediately starting buzzing which numerous missed calls and texts, I didn't bother looking at any of them I just called the one person I could always count on, no matter how much we ever hate each other, we always come through for the other in the end, hopefully he will this time.

"Andy!! I know you hate me but please listen." I spoke fast, you could hear the panic in my tone and you could also hear that I had been crying a lot.

"Ash calm down, I don't hate you."he spoke calmly, I almost believed him, He waited till my breathing slowed down before speaking again, "Calm enough now?"

"Yes."

"Now what's wrong?" He asked softly, probably trying to keep me calm, probably not wanting to deal with me panicked

"Light! It's Light! She's Dead!!" I panicked, I couldn't stay calm, saying it made it all the more real.

"Ashley, where are you?" He spoke urgently, his tone sounded genuinely concerned for me

"Hospital waiting room." I whispered, I was on the verge of tears again but I tried my hardest not to let them fall,

"Stay right there, I'll be there as soon as I can." He urged, I could hear things moving in the background, the voices of the guys asking what was going on but he didn't answer themas I heard the front door slam shut,"okay Ash, I'm gonna have to hang up now so I can drive but I'll be there soon." After a quick goodbye we hang up and I sat silently as the tears I had so desperately held back flowed down my burning cheeks.

I was glad Ryann was still with Nikki, I didn't want her to see me like this, sobbing uncontrollably unable to stay calm, but I have absolutely no idea how I will tell her that her mommy isn't coming home.

An/sorry it took so long to update, updates might be slow now cause I'm always working and when I'm not I'm taking care of my mom but I'll try be as quick as possible.
