They were on the road for about 30 minutes before Regan's phone starting ringing. She picked up her phone and saw that it was her mom calling. She took the call.
"Hello?" Regan said.
"Regan, where the hell are you?" Her mom asked furiously.
"I'm on my way to Ocean City with my friends." Regan said, obviously not caring.
"You know what? Go to ocean city. Have a great time. But since you don't think you need to listen to your parents, you aren't welcome home. I know you already moved in with Xander, but now you can stay there permanently. Don't bother coming back." Her mom said angrily. Regan's eyes got teary.
"No, mom I'm sorry. I didn't want it to go this far I'm sorry. Please give me another chance." Regan begged.
"Sorry Regan. You screwed up." Her mom said before hanging up. Regan stared at her phone as tears ran down her cheeks.
"Regan what's wrong?" Xander asked, concerned. He put his arm around regan's waist. Julia looked back from the passenger seat and grabbed Regan's hand.
"My mom told me I can't come home and I shouldn't even talk to her again." Regan said. Xander kissed the top of her head and pulled her closer.
"Regan I'm sure she didn't mean that." Julia reassured her. Regan didn't respond and tears continued to roll down her cheeks. She leaned on Xander's shoulder and quietly cried herself to sleep.
