* Derek's P.O.V.*

*12:01am*

I can't help but remember his blushing face after I complimented his outfit. I don't think he realized I had seen it before I turned away to hide my smile... How cute... I silently curse to myself at this thought.

He's straight. Duh. I can't lie to myself again like I did with Nick. How do I know he's straight? Well, if nothing else proves it, when I said the girl who ends up with him is blessed, he didn't even mention it the next day, much less argue against it.

But I suppose I should give him more of a chance as a friend, now that I have proof that he's straight. I can easily remind myself of the truth and therefore block out any thoughts of attraction from my head.

Still, I decide to confide with my Aunt about it, just in case. I'll leave out the details of it being a guy, but she deserves to have some input on it. She's been with me every step of the way in life, so I can't suddenly start leaving her completely in the dark now...

I type in my password, and find myself laughing a little since I forgot to change it. I had made it "thecloseted1" since I had never come out to anyone. The first thing I do after loading it is delete that password, since I now have two people I'm out to, although one of them hates my guts for it.

I decide to make the new password "closetless" since it's the same theme as the last one. Now I won't forget it...

Next I open up Facebook. My Aunt is always online at night, since she works at night on the computer. She's a story writer for some big company, so she makes a good deal of money a year.

She's on chat, so I type.

"Good morning Aunt Munchy!" I say, considering it's technically morning hours. And yeah, I call her Aunt Munchy. My family tried to get me to say her real name "Lache," but I thought they were wanting me to say munchy, and I was hungry. So I called her Aunt Munchy, and the name has stuck with us since.

"Hey there Derek! How's it going, big guy?" she says back. I decide to cut straight to the chase.

"I was, er... Wondering if you could... You know... Help me with some relationship advice?" I type. I have a habit of typin the same way I would say it aloud, hence the many pauses.

"!!!!!!!! My Derek has a girlfriend?"

I chuckle at the irony of that question

"...Sort of... It's more of a crush. I won't go into details, but say, for example, you liked someone who couldn't like you back. What would you do? Would you deal with just friends, or what...?" I reply, making sure my wording prevents it from letting on that it's actually a guy we're talking about.

"Oh, honey... If the person can't be with you as more than friends, I'd say make the best of what you have and make friends with the girl. I'm glad to hear you're making some new friends, by the way. I love you like a son, but it's always nice to have friends to hang out with when I'm busy and stuff, ya know?"

Again, I notice she said "girl." I dismiss it without comment.

"That's all I needed to hear! Thanks Aunt Munchy!" I type, then let her get back to whatever story she's writing.

The next order of business is to send a message and a friend request to James. I type in his name and click on his profile when it comes up. I decide to write the message first.

"Dear James,

I'm sorry for giving you the cold shoulder like that. I hope you'll be able to forgive me, and that we can be friends after all. It's just odd for me, since I've always been a loner... I've never really had a friend, so the situation is difficult for me to work with. I owe you much gratitude, and so does my face, for you protecting them from Nick like you did... If there's anything I can do to relay you, tell me, and I'll do it to the fullest of my ability.

Sincerely,

Derek" I type. But suddenly my bipolar side gets bold. I delete "sincerely,"

*clack clack clack*

I hit send. After navigating back to his profile, I click "Add friend."

I sit for about a minute, and find myself looking at James' profile pictures, seeing as they aren't locked out, even though everything else is.

"Bad Derek. Turn the laptop off and go to sleep. You know better than to facebook stalk anyone." I say to myself.

I reach toward the laptop screen to close it when I suddenly hear a noise that makes me stop dead.

He's awake.

Author's note: so I know, it's been a whe since this one was last updated, but how does errybody like it?!? Comment with two things:

1. your opinion on the story so far and what you think James is gonna say in response.

2. Write something in your comment about... Rainbow pooping Moosicorns!
