Chapter 3

"I want you to help me go after Jungkook."

V laughed without a moment's pause. "Right," he drawled sarcastically. "You want to go to Heaven behind his back and help him without him knowing its you."

I stared levelly at him with a sharp and piercing glare. V got a few giggles and snorts out before noting my all-too serious expression. His laughter died down soon enough, and his smile dropped from his face quickly.

"Oh," he muttered, "you're serious."

I feigned a surprised expression. "Did you think was joking?" I deadpanned. "Because I wasn't."

V scratched his head awkwardly. "Listen," he began, "I would love to help, but Jungkook would seriously kick my ass if he found out. I'm supposed to watch over you, not help you get into trouble."

"V, Jungkook's your little brother," I argued. With a patronizing tone, I mocked, "Are scared of your little brother?"

"Uh, what? No!" he exclaimed, immediately straightening up to seem taller. "I'm not, but Rap Monster and Suga are both with him. Plus, even I know how dangerous it would be for you."

"Pleaaaaaase," I begged, pouting. "It would be more effective if I was there, since I'm half, right? I'd be able to blend in and help you!"

"Scaaaaaarleeeeet," V whined back, scrunching up his face like a little kid. "Neither of us are getting into trouble, okay?"

"If it was Hana that was being kidnapped, would you stay here?" I demanded, crossing my arms defiantly. "I'm not asking you to come with me, since you clearly have things to lose, but I need you to help me get out."

Immediately, V's face softened. Even demons and incubi had soft spots for their family, which almost surprised me, but knowing V, it didn't. I could see his love for his new daughter sprint across his expression, and he sighed submissively.

"I'll go with you," he exhaled at last. I raised my eyebrows with surprise. I'd just wanted for him to help me, but it hadn't been my intention to get him to come with me.

"N-No, you should stay here," I insisted. "Just show me how to do that transformer thing and how to get out. You have a family."

"All three of my brothers are out there, aren't they?" V grumbled. "My nephew's the one in danger, and you're my in-law. We go together or we don't go down at all."

I frowned. "But Hana...?"

"I regenerate don't I?" V's infamous tongue stuck out teasingly in attempt to lighten the mood. "I'll be careful, anyways. You too."

I wanted to fly at him and slam into him with a bear hug, but I restrained myself. Instead, I just smiled widely, my face threatening to rip apart from joy. V got the message though, since at this point, we knew each other pretty well, and he simply smiled back, patting me on the shoulder as he walked by me out the door.

"I guess I'll say my goodbyes now, huh?" he asked, turning his head slightly as he passed me. "I'll be back soon. Wait for me."

"Well, we can leave tomorrow?" I suggested in a squeaky voice. "You'll have more time, and I'll have more time to plan something out...?"
