"Take Junghyun back," Jungkook ordered V, taking the infant from my arms and placing him in his brother's. "Keep him safe. Scarlet and I will stay."

His three elder brothers didn't even exchange glances; they were already on the same page. All of them wore skeptical expressions, as if they wanted to argue, but Jungkook stared on, imploring them to argue. Suga rolled his eyes, relenting, and they seemed to agree on something. V nodded, and I realized they were communicating telepathically. I stood there awkwardly and waited for them to finish their conversation. It did resolve itself quickly, though. Jungkook crossed his arms in smug victory, and his brothers seemed to give in.

"You'd better hurry, Jungkook," Rap Monster warned. "Don't forget that Hades still has an attack planned."

Jungkook shrugged. "We'll be back soon, just keep Junghyun safe."

That was something everyone could agree on. We didn't go through this much trouble just to endanger him again. Demons apparently had strong family ties, as they all nodded determinately.

"Bye, Scarlet!" V crowed, patting my shoulder with far too much force. "See ya later!"

As the darkness enveloped them, Jungkook took my hand, and we melted into shadows of our own. The journey was relatively short, though, as when I opened my eyes, we were simply standing in front of the palace. Piercing white hazed my eyes, golden laurels of dignity sitting atop the roofs. The most dignified of guards marched throughout the perimeter, and many angels were going in and out of the pure building. Was it a public place? That sure did make it easier to get into.

"Let's go, then." Jungkook eyed the palace with a wary eye before continuing in its direction. Our footsteps met the marble stairs to the entrance with apprehension. We easily blended in with the rest of the angels milling around, as Jungkook had turned his only his wings white, so that they didn't stick out.

We found ourselves in the throne room, where everyone else had gone. Upon entering, all the angels bowed deeply, so we did the same, staring at the floor for a good five seconds before looking back up. At the front of the room was a huge basilica-looking space with a giant golden throne that shone in the light. It was currently unoccupied, but three regal figures were conversing next to it. They smiled occasionally at the hoarded of angels who glorified and paid tribute to them, and servants were constantly bustling around to get them to sign things or commands.

My blood curdled at the sight of those three. I could tell Jungkook was on edge too, as a quick sideways glance could show me that he was trying to contain himself. It was them. His murderers, my family's murderers, and our child's kidnappers.

J-Hope, Jin, and Jimin.

"What do we do?" I whispered, making sure not to stare at those three, because surely, they'd recognize our faces. Thankfully, there were many tall angels covering us.

"I guess we wait to follow them," Jungkook muttered back, his hands clenched into fists. "I hate it, but we'll have to wait to tear them apart."

After a few minutes, the three angel brothers became bored of standing around in a crowded room and started off into the corridor behind them. Jungkook rose with a start, and we beelined for the entrance of the palace.

"Hey, where are we going?" I called, jogging after him.

I follows him into the shadow of a Doric column, and he touched my hand lightly, barely at all, but it was enough. Darkness engulfed my vision, and within milliseconds, we had reappeared into the hallway the angels had disappeared into. Silently, we navigated the hallways based off of sounds and faint voices. The hallways were brightly lit, but they were essentially empty, so we passed through them with ease.

Finally, we reached the upstairs of the palace, where the corridor had widened out into a large, white room with walls lined with ornate doors.

"Where the hell are they?" Jungkook grumbled, turning his head to look for the three.

"We can try all the doors?" I suggested hesitantly, though that wasn't the best idea. We could easily be discovered if we walked into the wrong room. Despite the risk, there was no other choice. We warily approached the first door, both on edge from the apprehension. Jungkook's bluish hand found the knob before mine, and it turned slowly.

Immediately, my vision flashed with light, and a warm hand found its way around my throat. My eyes rolled up and found the ceiling before I could see anything else, and I heard Jungkook shout in protest. A band of white wrapped around my eyes, pressing my lids closed and taut against my eyes. The hard ground was against my back, and I struggled against the knee and elbows pressed against my torso.

Even behind the blindfold over my eyes and my closed eyes, I still saw the brilliant flash of white. For a short moment, I was weightless, but the light disappeared, and I collapsed against the ground again. Jungkook grunted next to me, and I forced myself to calm down. Things couldn't be that bad if I was with him. It wasn't an emotional, loving thing; I simply felt better that someone who knew how to handle violent situations was with me.

"Ahh, I've missed your pretty faces, Jungkook, Scarlet," crowed the ever-so-familiar high voice of Jimin. "I was wondering when I'd ever see you again."

The band of white was ripped from my face, and I was staring at the shortest angel, who was eye-smiling with glee. My stomach sank. Behind Jimin were the other two, clad in all-white, but yet still managing to look menacing in the most angelic way possible. Jin's lovely face smiled at me comfortingly, but the situation did not match his expression. J-Hope simply looked down at us with such a cocky grin on his face.

Jungkook seethed with frustration next to me. From the corner of my eye, I saw his clenched jaw, his death glare shooting at the three. They seemed oblivious to it. I took in my surroundings as the four had a stare-down. We were in a prison of some sort, telling from the bars of white in front of us, but it wasn't the one we were in before. It was most likely the castle dungeon, as there were more safety precautions. Guards lined the walls, too many to take on, and there was not a single shadow, as the walls all emitted light, which would make it impossible for Jungkook to shadow travel. Between the bars were a light shield, so nothing could squeeze through, and the door handle and lock were on the outside.

We were effectively stuck.

"You little-" Jungkook began to say, as he had noticed it too, but he was cut off.

"See you in a few hours!" called J-Hope as the three flashed light and reappeared on the other side of the bars.

"What for?" I asked, eyes wide with anxiety.

"Your trial," Jin replied, smiling serenely. "You're on trial for treason against Heaven. But don't worry, you'll have a lawyer."
