Chapter 17

Winter's POV
I wake up next to Charlie. Poor kid. He shouldn't have to go through this. The rest of us shouldn't have to either, but that's just where this world led us to.

I wonder what will happen if we do survive this sick game. Will we be able to home? What is home even for us? What if she's just lying to us, and saying we'll get a prize when in reality she's planning something else?

I get up, and look around. Kylie is in the corner again, avoiding us. Joshua is right next to Charlie. I guess I'm the only one awake.

There is no food anywhere. Why does Lizzie think that we can survive long periods of time without food? We could die without food or water.

An alarm rang throughout this resting place, waking the rest.

"WAKE UP, SLEEPY HEADS!" Speak of the devil.

"Get out of the area, and go through the doors, butt heads." Lizzie said. Wow, she's really mean right now, for some reason.

We go through the door, and it shuts right behind us. I see immediately that we are in a freaking jungle again. This time it was darker and scarier.

Charlie scooted closer to me. In fact, everyone scooted closer to me, but I don't know why.

"This is the place you'll hang out for a day, or so. Have fun!" Lizzie said over a speaker.

Then, the bushes started to shake, and an animal that couldn't be identified jumped out and chased us.

??? POV

My idiot brother and I had to find this group who had the only Alice according to Her Majesty.

"Why did we ever agree to do this?" my brother said. I shrugged, silently trying to find the best strategy to find them.

"I don't know, but shut up and help me find them." I said. I knew was mocking me behind my back, but I was to busy to stop him.

"How we even find them?" he asked. I shrugged again.

Then, I saw some one running this way. Actually, a few someones. I grabbed my brother and jumped out the way, and into the shadows.

The girl behind the rest with black hair turned around, and kicked the little beast a little. The thing whimpered and look down.

"I'm so sorry. It's just you were chasing us, and it scared us. I'm sorry if I hurt you." She said. I smirked knowing this had to be Alice.

Then, the beast jumped into arms almost knocking her over.

"Winter, where are you!" a male voice yelled.

"Over here," 'Winter' said. A man with a gorgeous face came into view. I blushed a little and my brother elbowed me playfully. I glared at him.

The beast jumped in front of Winter. She laughed and walked over to the man and two other people came. I looked at my brother and smirked while nodding. He nodded back.

We walked over to the group and the beast jumped in front of them. Winter looked at us.

"Who are you?" she asked, after looking at us.

I looked her up and down. She was incredibly beautiful, I could just feel my brother drooling like a dog already.

I smiled innocently at them.

"That dumbo over there is Leo. I'm Emma."
