Chapter 2: The announcement

Winter's P.O.V.

A little girl dressed in pink grinned widely and shouted," WELCOME ONE, WELCOME ALL!"

We all look at each other. Who was this chick? Charlie scooted closer to me. I think he sees me as an older sister.

The little girl giggled before continuing. "I know you are all wondering what is going on. I am Lizzy, princess of hearts. You are all a part of my game. The Wonderland Challenges!"

Wonderland? Like as in Alice in Wonderland?

"This game has a bunch of challenges that one wrong move could cost your life. Whoever ends up completing all of the challenges without dying," she pauses to giggle as if she had heard the funniest thing ever," they'll get a special prize."

"These are your teammates if you didn't already know because you're stupid." She giggled again, probably because she said the word stupid. I rolled my eyes, this girl giggles too much.

"I can't wait to see how all of you do and remember," her cheery tone dropped to a dark one," don't cheat because we are always watching and cheaters don't win all the time."

Her cheery attitude was back now,"I hope you all have as much fun I am going to. Good luck, you'll need it!"

I looked at everyone, disbelief written on my face. Charlie looked terrified. Kylie looked a mix between surprised and scared. I couldn't tell what Joshua was feeling about this because he had a poker face.

Kylie spoke in a low tone," Joshua, now you have to trust us." Joshua just nodded, and looked at Charlie and me.

Charlie hugged me tightly. I felt bad. He shouldn't have been dragged into this. I hugged him back. "You're going to be fine," I whispered to him.

That's when the door opened.
