Chapter 19

Winter P.O.V.

I stood next to Joshua's unconscious form. I'm really worried for him. I looked around me. Leo was talking to Charlie and Kylie was talking to Emma. Leo kept trying to talk to me and it was kind of uncomfortable when he asked things about me.

Joshua awoke with a gasp. I looked at him, concerned."Are you okay?" I asked. He nodded.

"L-let's just keep going," he stuttered. I gave him a "are you sure" look.  "I'll be fine. I promise," Joshua looked up at me, while he said that. I looked at him.

"Okay. Let's go, guys," I said. The baby beast growled. "And beast." I murmured. We started walking and then we saw a door after like thirty minutes.

"Sh-should we go in?" Emma asked in a baby voice. I grabbed the handle, about to turn it. Joshua grabbed my wrist.

"Wait, what if it's a trap?" he asked I nodded. Then, the door opened by itself.

Someone threw a smoke bomb into the room, then I blacked out.

I woke up in a room of my own. No one was there except me, or at least I thought. I looked around. There was a beautiful dress in the corner with accessories. I was about to get up when the door opened. "Hello, I am Agatha and you are?"" Winter. What are you going to do?" I looked her up and down. She was obviously a maid and in her late twenty's or early thirty's.

"I'm here to get you ready for the ball," she explained. I nodded my head. I put the dress on first which fit me well, surprisingly. Agatha did my makeup, then hair. I had to admit, I looked pretty good.

"Thank you, Agatha."

"No problem. You look pretty, sweetie," she said back. I nodded, gratefully. "You rest here. I will get you when it's time to go," Agatha said as she walked out.

I was left to my thoughts for a while. Then, someone, guessing Agatha, knocked on the door. "It's time." I got up and walked to her side.

We walked to a huge door. I looked at her and she nodded.

"And last, but one of the most important person here, you know besides me. The ONLY Alice, Winter Bell."

I walked inside and the whole room got even more silent. I let out a breath I didn't even know I was holding in. "Now that she's here, we can start," Lizzie said. She came over to me and pulled me down to her height. She moved the microphone away from mouth and looked at me up and down. She hummed and smiled.

"Welcome ,welcome one and all!
Welcome to my magic ball!
Now that I see you are here,
you should know death is near
Some will survive and some will die!
Dance, dance cause u should
And for those who think they could!
And for those who want to go to bed!"

Lizzie paused for dramatic effect.

"Let's just say it's off with ur head!"
