Myles' pov
"Briar? You're awake!" I yell and throw my arms around her.
She pushes me off and throws me a confused look.
"What are you doing? You hate me remember?" She says.
"I didn't mean it. Please Briar, I love you." I say.
"Please don't do this to me." She says.
"Do what?" I ask.
"You say you love me but you don't. You broke me Myles." She says.
"I know and regret is eating me up inside. Briar, do you love me?" I ask.
"I'm sorry but no." She says which makes me really sad.
"Oh. Ok." I say with a sad tone of voice.
Briar's pov
God I love him so much but I can't tell him that. He'll just break my heart again.
"So what are we?" He asks.
"What do you want to be?" I ask.
"Well you know what I want us to be, what do you think?" He asks.
"I think we should just b friends. I'm sorry Myles but I don't want to make a mistake." I say.
He looked really sad as I said those words.
"Well if that's how you feel, then I guess that's what we're going to do." He says.
Myles' pov
Oh how I wish I never lost Briar's trust.
"Briar." I say.
"Yeah?" She asks.
"If I could go back in time, I would never have kissed Abi." I say.
"So why did you do it?" She asks.
"I honestly don't know but I do know that I regret it so much." I say.
"Maybe we should talk about something else." She says.
"You need to rest." I say.
I was about to leave but she says
"Stay with me."
I sit down on the chair next to her bed and she closes her eyes to go to sleep. I kind of think that she still likes me because of what she just said but I'm not sure. Year 8 prom is coming up soon, I'll ask her if she wants to go with me.
