Forever and Always- Bryles

Chapter 2

Briar's pov
I walk into school, not daring to turn around and see what things have been stuck on my back. Lexi did put something on my back. I felt her do it on the bus. I walk into the girls' bathroom and lock myself in a cubical. I take the note off my back and it says go kill yourself dork. I rip it up and throw it away. I walk out of the doors. Lexi and her minions surround me. They basically act like she's the queen or something. Their names are Chloe, Emma and Janice.
I try to get past but Lexi stops me.
"Excuse me please." I say quietly.
"No." Lexi says and her minions laugh.
She punches me in the face and then they walk away. I don't have a nose bleed this time but it does hurt. I look to the end of the corridor where I see Myles starring at me. He quickly looks away when I see him. The bells rings and I walk to first lesson. It's history.
I sit in my seat which is at the corner of the classroom. I always sit alone. I get my book out and someone sits next to me. I cover my hair over my face.
"Hi." The person says.
"Um h-hi." I stutter.
I look up and see that it's Myles.
"You know there's a spare seat over there." I say and point to the seat.
"I want to sit by you." He says.
What is he doing? The most popular guy in school is sitting next to me, the least popular person in the world.
"I saw what Lexi did to you today." He says.
I bite my nails.
"That was rude of her. I'll tell her to stop." He says.
"T-thanks." I stutter again.
"That's ok. You're quiet." He says.
I say nothing but bite my lip.
"Why are you so quiet?" He asks.
I shrug.
Then class starts.
Lunch time
That class with Myles was weird. What was he trying to do?
Suddenly all the popular kids walk past. Mason, Myles, Lexi, Chloe, Emma and Janice. They stop when they see me. I look down and keep walking but Emma puts her hand on me so I stop. She sticks a note on me. I take it off and read it. I'm a stupid cow. I throw it to the ground and they all laugh. I look at Myles and he is laughing as well. I just walk away. I didn't think that Myles would laugh because it seemed like he wanted to be friends. I guess not.
Myles' pov
I didn't want to laugh because it was really mean but if I didn't laugh, then I would be kicked out of the popular group. They mean the world to me so I laughed. Besides, it was only Briar. It's not like she's important.

The next day
I walk into class late and get a telling off.
"Myles! You're late again!" The teacher yells.
"And?" I ask.
"Detention!" She yells.
I sit down next to Lexi. We have PE first lesson. It's cross country. This is the only one where the girls and boys mix for PE. Of course I'm going to walk around with my group of friends because I can't be bothered to run. Plus we're cool so who cares.
Soon enough we're on the track and Briar tries to run past us. I step aside to let her past but Lexi sticks her foot out and Briar falls over onto the gravel. They keep walking but I slip behind to help her up.
"Here let me help you." I say.
"I'm fine." She says.
"No your knees are dripping in blood." I say.
"Why would you care about me? You didn't care when that note was stuck on my back." She says.
"It's complicated. Come on, I'll take you to the nurse." I say.
"Thanks." She says and we walk to the nurse's office.
The nurse cleans her cuts and puts plasters on them.
"You can go back to PE Myles." The nurse says and I go back.
Briar's pov
That was nice of Myles but I don't get why he did it....
