Adrielle

My seat is just right next to cyrrus. I stared at him closely. He’s staring blankly into thin air and I heard him say a girl’s name.

He’s always preoccupied with something. Always thingking about something. Sometimes, I wish I can enter his mind. See if he’s thinking about me too.

May mga araw na he’s showing interest to girls and that pisses me off.

Bakit pag babae, mahirap magsabi na gusto nya ang isang lalaki?

Today I heard him whisper the name “Anna Maria Cecilia.”  Sino kaya sya? Maganda ba sya? Matalino? Or something?

He seems interested. The way he says her name is the way I want him to say mine.

Being his best friend sucks.

Heart breaks, love life, interests, name it. I know all of it. It hurts to see the one you love cry over someone else. It can shatter your senses.

I keep on saying “uy bagay kayo!” pero nasasaktan ako. Nauubusan na ako ng lies to tell him. Example: “oo maganda sya” , “she’s an admirable gal.” “I think you guys look cute together”

Lies! All of those phrases are lies I made to cover my feelings.

And if there’s a girl who deserves him, that’s me.

So Anna Maria Cecilia, beware of who you’re going against with.

I tapped Cyrrus’ shoulder.

“hey cyrrus.”

“y-yeah?”

“you okay?”

“yeah. I’m fine.”

I saw him smile to himself. I wonder what or who he’s thinking about.

It’s been 3 days since the last time I stepped foot sa library.

Everything is going smoothly.

Margarette became a really close friend of mine. She’s awesome. I am reading “Rizal’s Literature” about to finish it actually. I should return this early.

Baka makaabala pa ako sa project or anything na gagawin nya.

I took the piece of paper he tucked on the book and I stared at his phone number.  Should I text him that’ll return the book tomorrow? It’s nice of him to lend me this book. Should I say I wished we didn’t meet the way we had?

I grabbed a sticky note and wrote:

“Thanks for the book. Sorry for the inconvenience I’ve cost you.. :)”

I tucked it in the 3rd page and kept the book inside my bag.

I texted his number

"Hello, It’s me, the girl from the library. I will return your book tomorrow. Meet me at coffee box."

He replied:

"It’s good to hear from you. I need the book too. I knew I could get your number!! Contact saved."

Oh good. Now he knows my number. .

I finished the book review I’m typing and saved it. I do hope tomorrow will be an easy day..
