"Call on the Water-Xs, Strikimir," Ice Talons commanded. "Call them. Give rise to a new Era of the Frozen." Ice Talons, unable to contain his excitement, pulled back his lips slightly, revealing a fearsome set of razor sharp teeth.

Strikimir walked to the edge of River Tithor. He cleared his throat and concentrated on his mind, trying to channel that fluid-like power of energy through him. It was hard, since he hadn't done that in a long time since the War for Peace. Thankfully, though, he finally managed to send the message.

And he received a powerful one just right after he sent his message. They're coming.

"Well?" Ice Talons said impatiently, stomping up beside Strikimir. "You know that revenge can't wait for so long..."

"I know," Strikimir replied, "Wait. They're coming." As if on cue, six hundred golden blue eagles materialized out of the water, and soared gracefully in front of Strikimir. They're golden blue feathers shimmered like Strikimir's eyes. They're piercing tempest blue eyes like the waves of the ocean, their gaze a ferocious stare of ice and hate. Sleek feather, magic tufts, sharp reflexes, and a jagged beak made Strikimir's Water-Xs one of the most fearsome species of phoenixes, even if they were the result of an experiment from the original Water-Xs. Though they were twice as tall as Strikimir, the leader stepped up and bowed in submission.

The leader was a nicely preened royal blue eagle with a piercing gaze that could shatter glass. "Strikimir , we have created something for this battle that was an experiment of hybrids." He paused. "Thunder Ice Dragons." As one to not be fond of long greetings, Lord Abyss always cut to the chase, not a second to lose.

Above formed a storm cloud, and twenty Thunder Ice Dragons dove and landed in a V formation in front of Ice Talons. Each one had jagged claws that looked like they were carved from ice, but with a tsunami roiling inside the talons. Their wings were feathered, but resembled dragon wings near the edges, almost giving off a smoky atmosphere to the air.

"Good word, Lord Abyss!" Strikimir complimented the leader, "I'm glad you brought Frostspeaker here."

Ice Talons sniffed. "What good is another type of Ice Dragon? I see no difference in ability. Appearance is not how I judge allies in battle." He let his displeasure of a hybrid dragon seep through his words, and he growled quietly. However, the Thunder Ice Dragons stood stock still, staring straight ahead like soldiers of war.

Abyss gave a small snarl. "You ignorant fool. A Thunder Ice Dragon can breath plumes of water that freeze whatever it hits. Their horns control the North Winds. Whenever they stomp their claws on the ground, it shakes an earthquake that shoots out ice spikes in the direction of the enemy. Their wings can make them disappear. And when they lash their tails, ice shards blast out. That's the difference. And if you want to prove that I'm wrong, then fight them." Abyss rested down on his rear claws, studying Ice Talon's next move. An intense standoff between the lord of vicious, experimental Water-Xs, and the leader who had the lead the Ice Dragons' dominions for thousands of years made the creatures watching them tense up.

Ice Talons looked around, and huffed out cold mist. There was no way was he going to waste his time and power on evidence. Besides, he needed to complete his long lost quest. Ice Talons leaned down to whisper at Strikimir. "Are you sure this is a good idea? 'Cause I see no point in a Thunder Ice Dragon when Ice Dragons are even more superior." Arrogant phoenix, He sneered, dilating his pupils.

"Well, sir. You'll need powerful allies, and when you cannot get them, you'll...not succeed like last time." Strikimir said. He did have a point. And that was why Ice Talons sometimes hated the little devil.

"Fine, then." Ice Talons said. "But you have to be sure, absolutely sure, that these hybrids are of worth to my army." He looked up at the night clouds, and breathed a plume of ice white avalanches of elements into the air. "Boy, am I glad I had you released me. I would've rather have you than a delusional moron who came along completely unprepared." He chuckled. Why? It wasn't even a good joke! So he immediately stopped, and glared down upon Strikimir, daring him to laugh.

Strikimir grinned. "Yes...I am glad as well..." His face then turned serious as he saw Ice Talon's expression, and looked away.

King Ice Talons exhaled furiously, releasing all of his annoyance. Now he was angry. His power was already now stirred, so why wasn't the land encrusted in a thick sheet of tundra? Why wasn't it a snow stormed desert? He felt his once powerful magic arise inside of him again. He felt his eyes glow of the blue-white cruel savagery content in his eyes again. It was pure power.

Ice Talons suddenly looked up and saw everything that would be his. He didn't need anyone; no Strikimir, no Water-Xs, and definitely no annoying Thunder Ice Dragons around to threaten his place as a leader. For a moment, he felt a strong surge of anger flash by his vision to destroy everything. I'll just take on the phoenixes myself! Ice Talons shook his head. Get a grip, Talons! Don't make that heavy burden again after the incident! No wait...maybe I should destroy them...

It felt as if something was commanding him to take a path to utter defeat.

"King Ice Talons, are you okay, sir?" Strikimir questioned, looking at him curiously, awaking Ice Talons up from his vision.

Ice Talons grunted, and turned around to whip his tail across Strikimir's smug face. Instead, he grazed a pale pink gash on the face of a Thunder Ice Dragon nearby, who instantly flinched, then scowled furiously at him. Ice Talons stared coolly back, but with a twitch of his tail, indicated his frustration, and the dragon looked down quickly, as sign of mere submission.

Ice Talons then looked at the small form of Strikimir, stared directly into his eyes, and gave him the most intense look so far. "I am what I am. Feel no affection. This is a sign of your weakness, hatchling." Ice Talons lectured with a slight drawl. Strikimir bowed, and flew off to talk to another Ice Dragon. This is a sign of weakness from Strikimir. Affection could ruin him in battle! But yet...why am I feeling the same strong affection for him as well? I HATE IT!

This annoyed him greatly, so to squash that hateful feeling, he turned to his army. "Dragons, and raptors, I feel like this is the perfect timing for us to charge out!" He looked around, and unfurled his wings. "Let's DO THIS!" Let's spill the blood of the ancient phoenixes and revive our pride once more!

The three races roared furiously into the ice stricken sky, and charged towards the Rising Sun, a path where it'll lead them to the birth place of all phoenixes where they were each born at a rising sun! He'll destroy that place, and rule over the land. But then what? What do I truly desire? Ruling over everything shouldn't JUST be my main goal...should it?  Ice Talons tried not to let this bother him. I'll think of that once I am finished with the Fire Phoenixes!

"Let's show them our power and rage from being withheld from the mortal world for so long!" Roared Ice Talons, "Let's unleash terror within the Fire Phoenix world!" And with that, he lead his army towards the Rising Sun, with enragement and determination at his side. He will kill every last blasted phoenix, even if it took another thousand years.
