Welcome home

"Kaya were home wake up." The professor said shaking me awake. I hate being woken up. I looked over at Kurt. He was still sleep. He looked so cute he was curled up in a ball and he had a small smirk on his face and even though he was asleep his tail still moved. Man I would not mind waking up to that every mor..... What's wrong with me! I just met him and I'm falling for him. Kitty would tease me about that later.

I went over to Kurt and tapped him on the arm. Nothing. Wow his fur is soft. I started to swirl my finger through his fur forgetting that I was suppose to wake him up. I kept at it and then his tail did the same motion I was doing to his arm to my arm. I looked at his tail then back at Kurt. He was wide a wake! "Ha so when did you wake up?" "When you first poked me." Well I know I'm light blue from embarrassment. "Well I just wanted to make sure your up cause were here!" I said happily grabbing my luggage. He grabbed his things and I helped him with some of it. We got out of the blackbird and met the professor at the elevator.

"Welcome to the Institute Kurt. Kaya will help and show you to your room. Dinners at 5 and breakfast for adults is at 10. Did I miss anything Kaya?" The professor looked at me and I looked at Kurt. "Don't be so nervous just be yourself. You are amongst friends and in a year there gonna be like your second family." I smiled and patted Kurt on the arm. "Thank you so much for letting me be a part of your family." Kurt said to the professor gratefully. "You are welcome Kurt."

The elevator opened up on the first floor. That's where the professors office was. "Well this is my stop Kurt if you need me my office is on this floor. I hope Kaya is a great tour guide." The professor said and exited the elevator. Me and Kurt rode up to the 5th floor where all the adults in the house live. The 4th, 3rd, and 2nd levels are all student rooms. We exited the elevator and I looked at the paper the prof gave me. It said that Kurt's room was straight down the hall and the third to the left. Hey that's 3 door down from my room what are the odds. I got the key and opened the door to Kurt's room. It was kinda like my room but his walls were green mine are light brown. I sat his bags down near the bed. "Well welcome home" I said motioning to the whole room.

"This room is mine? For free?" Kurt asked amazed at the size of the room. "Yep it's all yours. So get settled in, relax dinner is in 2 hours and I will take you on a tour later..... Or we could go now if your up for it." I stood at the door waiting for his answer. "I'm ready if you are let me just get some cool clothes on. It's really hot here." "Ok" I went back to my room and changed out of my out of my uniform and put on some shorts, a shirt and some high tops. I went outside and Kurt was waiting near his door wearing some jeans and a shirt. He has no idea how hot it can get out here.

So I walked him around the Institute and he was a little shy and nervous at first but then different kids saw us and said hi. Some even stopped us and talked to Kurt and made him feel welcome. Some of the kids talked a little to fast for Kurt to understand so I told them to talk slower so he could know what your saying. "Zhis is really nice. I've been here for 30 minutes and I already feel like everyone knows me." Kurt said looking at the ocean view. "Ya the kids are just excited because we get a lot of students but we rarely get any adults." I said sitting on a nearby bench. "Vhy?" "I don't really know. It probably because all the adults here used to be students here like me." Kurt looked at me and then back at the ocean. "So how long have you been here?" I looked out at the ocean. I was silent for a moment and then I answer his question. "I started here when I was ten. Been here ever since. Now I'm a teacher here." I really don't feel like explaining everything. Kurt could tell and changed the subject. "So zhat is vhy zhe kids call you Ms.Firefox." My name sounds so fancy with his German accent.

"Zhank you for showing me around the Institute. It is amazing." I looked at him and smiled. "Oh Kurt we are not even close to being done with this tour." I grabbed his hand and dragged him behind me. "Vait! Vhere are ve going!" Kurt asked trying to keep up with me. "Dance and theater rooms."
