Dear Spot,
Where did all these holidays come from? I apparently missed Halloween back in October! Anyway, Merry Christmas! I sent you and the boys presents that I thought would would all like. I do hope you have use for new red suspenders.
Also, wish Jack and Sarah a happy engagement for me, but give him a nice punch in the arm for not waiting until I got there. I hope you have a pleasant Christmas, Spot. This marks only five months until I'm done with school and get to come home. I can't wait to see you all.
I heard that Jack resigned from Newsie leader and is now working in the factory with Mr. Jacobs. I'm happy for him I also heard that Race took over Jack's position as Newsie leader, but only for a few years. Plus, I heard he met a really nice girl named Annie. I'm so happy for him. Give him my good tidings as well.
Well, I believe that's everything. Other than to wish Squints good luck for me now that he's going to be Denton's butler. That's amazing! Okay, I miss you and I love you more than that!
