Will POV
It's been a week since I ran into my dream girl. Literally my dream girl. I haven't heard from her since, but then again how would I? She never gave me an address or any other way of communication.

Ding dong
Charlotte, Henry and I looked up from our reading at the sound of the summoning bell. I got up from my chair and ran towards the door in unrealistic hope that Tessa would be standing on the other side of it. But of course it wasn't her.

It was Aloysius Starkweather, the oldest member of the clave. He stayed in his York manner most of the time and rarely attended meetings. Some say they've seen a young woman enter and leave the manner at night, some say he does demon experiments behind the closed iron gates and steel doors of the manor. I say that's all rubbish, the poor mans probably still grieving the loss of his granddaughter and son.

"Where's Charlotte?" He growls now

"Good morning to you too mr Starkweather"

"Not in the mood boy"

Charlotte comes to the door "Aloysius, to what do we owe this... pleasure"

"I'll need to come in Charlotte, it's a matter that in afraid will have to remain in confidence until further notice."

Charlotte stands wide eyes and moved aside to let the grumpy old man inside. I follow them to the drawing room.

"What is it Aloysius? Has something happened?"

Aloysius watches me intently "can the boy keep a secret?"

Charlotte and I both nod at the same time.

"It's my great granddaughter you see. She's missing"

There's a moment of silence and Charlotte asks the question I'm wandering myself "your great granddaughter? Excuse my boldness but I thought your family was dead"

Aloysius lets out a deep breath "that's the part that must remain in confidence, she's not exactly a Shadowhunter you see. But she's not a mundane neither. She's a mix, a disgrace in the eyes a the clave. But she's family and I can't let nothing happen to her"

"Not a Shadowhunter? And not mundane? Do you mean... Is she a downworlder?"

"No ma'am. She's a... Well she's. She's special, there's no word for it yet. Her mother was a Shadowhunter-"

"Shadowhunter blood is dominant mr Starkweather" I interrupt

"You didn't let me finish boy. Her mother was a Shadowhunter, but her father" he sighs "her father was a demon"

Charlotte gasps slightly "a demon? That's not possible. The child should be stillborn"

"Adele was never marked. Her runes were never placed which meant the protections of them were never in place. The child is alive I assure you. Well was last time I saw her"

It's incredible. I always thought he lived alone out of grief but that wasn't the case. He lived alone out of love, love for this one last piece of family he had.

"You said she's missing. When did you see her last?"

"Can you give us a description? An age? A name perhaps"

He scribbles something on a piece of parchment and hands it to me folded "use this"
As I look up I see his tailcoats exiting the room. I turn to Charlotte puzzled but she's staring at the paper.

As I unfold it I almost collapse
