Telling

Ok so I rewrote my last chapter because I thought it was a cuter way of Lauren telling Steven she's pregnant!

*Lauren Pov*
I shuffle into my apartment and flop down on my couch. I pull out the pamphlets and feel like ripping them up. How could we be so god damn careless? I had been off birth control for a few months because I didn't like the way it was making me feel and I was searching for a new one. Steven and I had sex and I guess he didn't use a condom or it broke or something. I flung my bag down angrily. Steven was still at work, there wasn't much they could film without me and Robert had given me the day off. I expected Steven home soon.
What the hell was I going to tell him? Congrats! You're going to be a father just like Glenn! Some of the cast members knew that we were dating but not the fans, not the press. Not even Robert knew. Now I was going to have to blurt out that not only were we dating but we were having a baby.
This situation was a nightmare.

I woke up to the sound of a door unlocking. Steven opened the door and closed it softly seeing that I was laying down on the couch. I sat up suddenly scaring him.
"Shit Lauren!" He said dropping the bag he was carrying.
"I'm so sorry!" I said slightly laughing.
"You rose from the dead!" Steven said with a smile. I got up and hugged him, he planted a kiss on my lips and then picked up the bag he brought.
"Missed you today and I brought food!" He said happily.
"Thanks, that's sweet." I replied trying to feed off of his happy energy but I couldn't.
"Well you're my girlfriend I can bring food for you. It's Chinese from that little place over by that diner I took you one time." He replied.
"That diner was awful so hopefully this place is good." I said helping him take stuff out of the bag.
"Well it had a line out of the door! I had to take so many pictures with fans because I was out in the open." He laughed.
"You shoulda pulled the "I'm famous" card." I teased, that's not how Steven worked.
"So how was the doctors office?" He asked scooping noodles onto a plate while I scooped rice.
"Fine." I said quietly, moving onto the Mongolian Beef.
"Fine?" Steven asked concerned.
"I mean I'm not sick or anything." I said sitting down at the table with my food.
Steven sat in the chair across from me. He liked to look at me during meals.
"That's great!" He said taking a bite of orange chicken. "So what was the cause for the throwing up?"
"This place is really good! Nice job Steve." I said scooping more noddles into my mouth.
"Thanks, I like it a lot too." He replied but then he looked back up at me seriously. "About my previous question." I looked down and shifted my food around my plate.
"Ummm.... Well I-" Steven cut me off.
"Lauren if it's something serious I need to know! I love you." He replied with a giant smile. "I have loved you for a long time actually. Since we met all those years ago. You had a boyfriend and I was single and awkward. Then you broke up and you were so heartbroken that I didn't want to make a move on you. Then I met Joanna and it just felt right at the time but something kept pulling me back to you. That drunken sex that we had while I was still with her was the best sex I have ever had. Then she broke up with me and now I'm here with you, where I always wanted to be. I love you Lauren Cohan. You can tell me anything." He finished.
I sobbed into my hands and I got up and rushed over to hug him. We held each other tightly while I cried into his shoulder.
"I love you too Steve. I was just so scared to let myself love you. It started after my boyfriend broke up with me. That's when I fell in love with you. But then Joanna happened and she was so sweet and pretty. I felt like shit about myself, but then you came to me and said "I broke up with her," and we kissed and I just knew I would love you forever." I replied trying to stop myself from crying but now so was Steven which made me cry even harder. "I have something to tell you Steve." I said and he looked up at me. I wiped the tears from his eyes. "At the doctors I found out that..... That we're having a baby!" I said. I watched a smile grow in Steven's face as he processed the information.
"A baby?" He asked.
"Yeah, I'm pregnant!" I said more tears forming in my eyes.
"Oh my god!" He said kissing me over and over. "We're going to be parents! This is great news. I love you so much Lauren, thank you."
"For what?" I asked.
"For giving me a child. This isn't going to be easy but I'm excited and so grateful that I'm doing it with you." He said kissing me again.
"I love you Steven." I said as we held each other tightly.
"First things first though. We have to tell everyone we're dating. Then we'll wait a month or two and then we can announce your pregnancy!" Steven said and I nodded.
"Sounds good. Do we do the rest of the cast first or just all at once with social media?" I asked and Steven sat back.
"Social media." He replied.
"Do we make a video or post a picture of us kissing or what?" I asked nervously.
"Sex tape." He joked and I smacked him. "We could make a video of us together telling them that we've been dating and then we could kiss at the end." Steven suggested and I nodded.
"Let's just do it right now before I change my mind." I said and Steven nodded pulling out his phone.
The video started.
"Hey guys it's me Steven!" He said.
"And Lauren." I replied standing behind him.
"We have a crazy awesome announcement for you guys!" He said with a large smile.
"Steven and I are dating!" I said.
"We have been for a couple of months." Steven added.
"We just want to thank you all for being such supportive fans and we hope you can support this!" I said and Steven leaned in and kissed me. We pulled away and looked back at the camera and waved.
The video ended.
"That seemed natural enough." He said.
"Yeah I agree. Just post it." I said nervously. We posted the video on our twitters and instagrams.
"Well the damage is done. Let's clean up and go to sleep." He suggested and I nodded in agreement. He had no idea how tired I was.
