~Kanda's Perspective~
'Another mission finished, and still no innocence to be found.' I growled to myself. I had just arrived into town and it was already very late. Though I didn't want to, I figured would have to sleep in an inn for the night before returning to the Black Order. "Che, I don't any of the inns are still open." I muttered, outloud and annoyed, as I walked past several inns, most closed. Then, a (tall/short) woman caught his eye. She had (h/l) (h/c) hair and (s/c) skin illuminated by candlelight. She seemed like she was closing up the place she was working at.
Without even really thinking, I walked up to her. "Miss, do you happen to know if there is still an inn open?" She turned at looked at me with (e/c) orbs. She gave me a soft smile. "Actually, yes. This inn is still open. I was just about to go and get some food from the storehouse out back to make some supper for my employer and his wife." I didn't know what it was, but something about this girl... just... made me feel... strange. She looked at me and tilted her head slightly. "If you want, I can ask if you can have a room for the night. You look like you've just arrived into town." She smiled kindly. I blushed and bowed, rather awkwardly I might add. "Thank you very much, miss." I heard her laugh and I felt my face burn red. "You're very welcome, sir. By the way, my name is (F/n)." She smiled. Before I could even think, I answered. "Yu Kanda. I mostly go by Kanda though."
'What the hell is wrong with me? I'm making a fool of myself! Why?' I scolded myself in my head.
(F/n) giggled. "Alright then, Kanda. What do you say that you help me get some food from the storehouse? That out to give a good impression to my employer, and I would very much like the help." I agreed without hesitation and I felt my own lips curl into a smile at the sight of hers. 'What the hell is happening to me?'
~3rd Person Perspective~
Kanda and (F/n) gathered some food from the storehouse and went back to the inn, where an older man and his wife, obviously the innkeepers, were waiting. The man looked at her as they returned. "Ah, (F/n)! You returned with a young man, I see." She smiled and looked at Kanda. "Yes, this is Kanda. He just arrived into town. Perhaps, could he stay here for the night?" The innkeeper smiled. "Of course, my dear. And I would hope that he stays up long enough to receive a hearty meal, yes?" Kanda, a little confused as to his emotions for the girl and now the kindness of the innkeeper, simply nodded and helped (F/n) carry the food into the kitchen. "You can relax, Kanda. I'll take care of the cooking." The girl smiled. The innkeeper's wife shook her head. "Dear me, no. Take him to one of the rooms and make sure it's to his liking, (F/n)." The girl, her cheeks lightly tinted pink, nodded and bowed. "Yes, ma'am."
(F/n) led Kanda to a room and lit a few of the candles to offer some light. "I hope this room is to your liking, Kanda." She smiled kindly. Kanda didn't know what to say, his mind and heart still confused by the feelings he discovered. He nodded and looked at her. "It is. Thank you, (F/n)." He paused for a second after that. He had just said "thank you"; he never said "thank you," not ever. She smiled at him, and oh that smile did a lot to him.
