Nami's nose hurt.
"my nose feels stuffy"
she moved her arms to get herself into a sitting position.
"ouch" she whimpered. her hands were greeted with a sharp pain. she opened her eyes and saw she was lying on her board but the jagged and slick rocks hurt her hands. . .she looked up, the light was blinding.
"I'm alive?" she thought, shocked, she tried looking around but the light was too strong and she had been out for quite while that it took a while for her eyes to adjust to the light.
"Jamie" she called for her brother. "it must have been him that fished me out of the water. . .he must be furious" she thought as she lay back on her board and closed her eyes.
"it wasn't Jamie, it was me, Nami"
a female voice startled her and she quickly propped herself up to greet her savior. but a sharp pain on her legs sent her slamming backwards against her board and she whimpered. she coul feel her eyes fog and stung as she almost cried.
"try not to move so much, you cut your leg against some coral"
"coral?" she thought, "that cant be, the reefs are way too farther down into the water"
"oh yes it was, it was my fault, I'm sorry Nami. i dragged you down to the sea floor away from the strong tide up top" the female voice said in an apologetic tone.
"you DRAGGED me down??" Nami said aloud, confused at such a bizarre rescue tactic. and she tried to get up again, this time she was able to sit up straight.
"Nami don't!" the voice called out.
Nami sat up and saw a figure behind a tall rock formation in front of her.
"where are you?"
"right here"
"where?"
". . .here"
a pretty faced girl crept out from behind the rock with her hands. she had thick, wavy Blue-Green hair and a mixture of seaweed and tiny shells were tangled in her hair. "it must have been a struggle for her to save me and get that much Mess in her hair" she thought. The girl also had a tanned complexion which suggested she must be a local like herself. The girl had silvery colored eyes like the sea when the sunset hit the water just before it disappears and thick pale lips and curious looking ears but she couldn't see it under all that hair. but Nami could see nothing past her waist. her hair was so thick it covered her entire chest except for her neck.
"you shouldn't get up yet" Nami heard the girls voice but saw no movement in her lips.
"excuse me?" she asked, thought for a moment her eyes deceived her.
"i said you shouldn't get up so quickly, you've been lying down for quite a while, the blood will rush from your head and you'll feel dizzy"
Nami' jaw dropped, there it was again. she definitely heard the girl speak but saw no movement of her mouth.s
"how are you doing that?" she asked with a mixture of fear and bewilderment.
The girl just smiled a happy grin. but Nami hadn't received her answer yet.
