It's hard. When your parents get divorced. When your mum leaves your dad and all he does is drink his sadness away. She said she loved me and if I had any problems to come to her. So that's where I was going. As I walked up to the little cottage house it just brought back memories. And as I stepped onto the door step I just wanted to cry. I haven't seen her in forever. I knocked on the door praying she wasn't sleeping. But when she opened the door I was so relieved. "Mya? What are you doing here," she smiled hugging me. "Dad kicked me out," I said sadly. "Oh honey. Come in," she said opening the door wider for me to come in. I was greeted by the smiles of my uncle Phil and Dan. "It's little Mya," Phil smiled walking over to me and hugging me. "Uncle Phil," I smiled hugging him back. "No hug for your Uncle Dan," Dan laughed. "I could never forget my favorite uncle," I laughed hugging him. "Hey what about me," Phil said. "Ok both of my favorites," I smiled. "So where's Katie," I asked. "Of with her boyfriend at college," Dan said sadly. Katie was Dan and Phil's adopted daughter sense men can't have kids. (Phan is real) "But she'll be back tomorrow," Phil said wrapping an arm around Dan's waist. "Well I guess you can stay in Carson's old room," my mom smiled. Carson is my mum's sister. This is my gran's house. "Well you go get settled in. Get some sleep and then will see you in the morning," my mum smiled. "Ok. Goodnight," I smiled hugging them all. I grabbed my suitcase and headed upstairs going to sleep.

-The Next Day-

I woke up to the smell of omelets. My mum loved making them. As I headed downstairs I saw Phil sitting on Dan's lap. They might not have been my real uncle's but they where as close as family as they come. "Hey your up," Phil smiled. "Indeed I am. And I see mum made her omelets." "Yep. Now grab a plate and sit," Dan laughed.
