Hey Angels! I'm pretty sure that this is my longest chapter! Sorry for the wait but I've been busy planning the direction I want this story to go

To the top/left of your screen is Anna's locket.

Without further ado I hope you enjoy Jackson & Annalise's story as much as I enjoy writing it.

"Anna. Listen to me. We're going to play hide and go seek okay? Daddy is gonna have some visitors and they're gonna play too okay? So when they go looking for you, you must stay hidden and be very quiet. You can not come out. No matter what you hear. Only come out after an hour okay? Can you do that pumpkin?" Daddy told me with a slight edge to his voice.

He was bent down in front of me and looking at me so seriously. I nodded. "Okay daddy. I promise to be very quiet and not let them find me."

He smiled at me. A real, genuine, smile. "I love you Annalise Elizabeth. Your mother and you are the most important thing to me ever. No matter what happens now-" his voice cracked and his eyes started to water.

I put my hand against his cheek and frowned. I didn't like it when my daddy cried. I gently wiped away his tears. He smiled. "-always remember that everything I have ever done was to protect you. You are my life, my light, my everything."

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a necklace. It had some strange writing on it. I thought it was scribbles. It was a little golden locket. It was round with a slender vine border.

"Pretty."  I smiled as he reached around me and put it on.

He pulled me closer to him and hugged me tight. "More than my own life." I heard him whisper into my hair.

I smiled as I heard the familiar words he used to always say to me.

I think it was at that moment that I knew that I would never see him again. My little arms reached around him and with all the strength a five year old could muster I hugged him.

"More than my own life." I echoed.

    That's when the gunshots started.

"Anna? Love? Can you hear me?"

I blinked as I came back to reality. Jackson was still crouched down beside me. He was waving his hand across my face, trying to catch my attention.

"Love, are you okay?" He asked concern and worry clear in his eyes.

My hands went automatically to my neck where my necklace hung. I took a deep breath and slowly nodded.

"Yeah. I'm fine. I didn't mean to worry you." I said trying to push back the memories.

I abruptly stood up and leaned against the island. I sent a smile toward the kids direction. Not wanting to worry them.

Jackson cautiously walked to the other other side of the island. Without breaking eye contact he spoke to the kids. "Macey, why don't you take your brother and sister outside? Just make sure you're within seeing distance."

"But-" Macey started to say before I cut her off. "It's okay Macey. Listen to Jackson."

He hesitated but nodded. Grabbing Lily's hand she walked outside. Daniel following after glaring Jackson and sending me a worried glance.

Once the kids were outside I let out a breath. "Anna you mind telling me what you just remembered."

I narrowed my eyes. "I don't know what you're talking about."
