Heyy Angels... Long time no see eh?

*Cue angry glares*

Okayyy.. feeling the love here.. First of all I want to apologize for the late update! I swear I was gonna update but a lot has been going on.

I'm on the prom committee.

I'm in many clubs, Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD), Science, Spanish, and FCCLA. Just to name a few.

I'm the Vice President of the Drama and we got a new instructor who doesn't know how to do crap so guess who's basically in charge. This gal and her fellow officers.

School, gotta raise my GPA of a 3.6 and keep my straight A's.

Got invited to join National Honor's Society and A+ Program.

Looking into collages even though I'm a junior.

Doing a lot of volunteer work for collage applications.

My whole family is working so after school I watch my nephew, clean, and cook dinner for 9 people everyday.

Most importantly I've been stressing about life in general. My headaches are worse, and my back constantly aches. It's exhausting. Today was half a day so I had a chance to sit down, relax, and write this for you guys.  I'll try to update every chance I get.

Jackson's cottage to the top/side of your screen. Look familiar? *cue smirk*

Happy Reading! :)

xoxo,

Leslie

"You don't know anything. So shut the hell up and back the fuck up." I hissed at him, trying to push back my panic. Jackson studied me, or more specifically, my eyes.

I forced my expression to become blank. He can't know. Nobody suspects let alone knows. It was a quick case that didn't even last a week. I made sure to bury the evidence so nobody could ever find out. It's not possible that he knows. I reassured myself. I turned around and knelt beside Macey.

They say the eyes are the windows to soul. I've never believed it until I looked in Macey's eyes. She doesn't deserve any of this. None of them do. They're so young. They should be living life, hanging out with friends, going to school.. not being beaten, and mistreated.

I hugged her and let her cry against me. I laid my cheek against her head and let her cry it all out. She needed to grieve. Now that I know the extent of her pain I was determined than ever to give her the life they deserved. One day I hoped Daniel and her would find the courage to call me "mom" like Lily did.

The thought made me smile. Daniel wiped his tears and with Lily in his arms came over to us. He bent down beside us and I included them into the hug. I held them close and I thanked God for giving me the honor of knowing them.

I looked at Jackson. He had walked to the other side of the clearing. I glared at him. He sighed and looked to the ground. I saw a flash of hurt and regret flash into his eyes. He ran his fingers through hair.

I willed him to look at him. Sensing my stare he looked up. I made a come here motion with my head. He hesitated and looked at me with uncertain eyes. I rolled my eyes and did it again.

"Carry Macey back to the truck. She's fast asleep and I'm ready to get to the cottage. Daniel will walk while I carry Lily." I commanded.

Jackson bent down and effortlessly picked up Macey bridal style. She stiffened in his arms. Jackson froze and stared down at her, waiting for her to wake up. Instead she sighed and slowly relaxed against him. He smiled down softly at her.
