Maya passed in her homework to Cory the next day.
"Wow, this is a lot compared to your other ones." Maya looked at Lucas.
"You help her?" Asked Cory.
"I just made her rewrite it."
"Oh. Well, okay class, you have had these seats for three years now. We are going to try something new. Everyone line up at the front of the classroom. They all did as they were told.
"We are going to switching seats."
"Why?" Asked Maya, looking up at her friends. "And why did I have to wear flats today, I feel so short."
"There's Maya." Said Lucas.
"What?"
"You're back to yourself."
"I didn't think that I ever left myself."
"It's been three years." Said Cory, getting the class back in track. "We need to change some things up. I have a hat with your names. When I say your name, you go to the next seat over, starting on the left, going right.
First row, Darby, Hayley Riley, and Farkle.
Second row: Lucas, Missy, Zay, Yogi, and Sarah
Third row: Kendra, Whyatt, Clarissa, and Dave
Fourth row: Nate, Jeffery, Jade, and Maya.
Seats, now."
"Yay, I'm as far from a door as I could possibly get." Said Maya, sarcastically, to Riley.
"I didn't even move."
They all went to their seats and class continued.
