As I took a step back, distancing myself from Mason, I couldn't help but notice his well-defined abs, pecs that are huge and felt like boulders, yet had a softness to them. My eyes continued to scan upwards, looking and noticing the specimen before me that couldn't have been defined as a human, but more like a greek god.
"Hey, you must be Madison Ann, right?" He asked me before continuing on. "I heard that today was your birthday, so I just kind of... Umm... Wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday?"
I stared at him, tilting my head a bit to the side, examining his facial expressions before nodding and answering. "You are correct."
He smiled a bit shyly at me, scratching the back of his neck, not knowing what else to say. I returned to him with a genuine smile. "Thank you for wishing me a Happy Birthday."
"Huh? It's not a problem." He said with a sweet smile on his face.
We stood there smiling at each other, kind of awkwardly I might add, for what seems like an eternity, but in reality, it was actually only a minute or two.
BRING* BRING* BRING*
As Mason was about to open his mouth, the sound of the school's late bell rang, telling me that I as officially late for class. I took another step back before brushing him off to the side. "Hey, it was nice of you to stop by, wishing me a happy birthday, but I'm going to be late for class... Plus, my friend Emily is kind of over there waiting for me, so I'm just going to run off to class now. So... Umm, uh... Bye."
I quickly grabbed Emily by the arm as she wave him a goodbye. "Let's go."
"But we didn't get to hear what lover-"
"We're late!" I whispered yelled.
"Yeah, yeah." She sighed before shouting over to Mason. "Bye bye Mason!"
"Please, shut up." I begged her.
She simply smiles then turns around to run along with me. As we got into the gym, we were immediately caught by Coach Dean. Coach Dean was another terrible teacher in this school, who everyone knew better than to cross with. He was man who believes in "Mrs. Johnson's ways of teaching." I for one rather say punishments. All must be punished for their wrong doings even if it was the slightest mistakes.
Before our punishment starts, we quickly ran into the girls' locker room to change. Once we got out, we were forced to do ten laps around the field and twenty push-ups. Although we whined and begged for him to ease up on us, nothing happened or changed. Devastated, we marched our way to the track field.
As we were running our 3rd lap around the field, I was suddenly called back by Coach Dean. Emily begged me not to leave her, but I couldn't do anything about it. She just gave me one of her usual death glared and continued finishing the lap. When I got into the gym, I noticed Mason standing besides the Coach Dean, talking and laughing as the girls drooled around him.
My blood began to boil as one of the girls leaned in onto his arms. He blushes, but tries his best to pry the wretched wench off of himself. "That's my Mason you f*cking b*tch." I growled to myself.
I looked down, closing my eyes, taking a deep breathe before I murder someone. I was about to take another step forward to talk to him, but butterflies started to flutter all around my stomach. I turned, walking back until I was tackled down onto the ground. I looked up to find Emily out of breath and grinning.
"What are you doing here? And get the h*ll off of me, you hippo!" I shouted.
"Wa-water..." She panted. "Oh, look it's Ma-Mason..."
"Yeah, I can see that, but why? Get off!" I sighed.
"Too tired." She groaned, resting her head in the crook of my neck.
