Honestly this tweet made me think about this, and I was like, wait, why is Mitch alone on their Fiji trip? I kept meaning to write something on it, but I also kept forgetting so here you go. It's short but it's a one shot so it's okay.

When he had woken up, it was quiet. It would have been ideal in any other situation.
However, Mitch had spent last night alone and the silence was enveloping him in unhappiness. He desperately needed to hear noise - Scott's laugh was the first thing that came to mind.
He wrapped his soft blanket around himself as he left his room to look for something to do.
He was happy to be on vacation, honestly, but that didn't stop his vacation-mates from often abandoning him. He felt like he was always nth-wheeling and they didn't seem to care if he was there or not.
He set his phone into the music dock on the counter as he reached into the fridge to grab orange juice and some champagne.
He'd be damned if he let the time determine if he could have some fun.
"It's five o'clock somewhere," he muttered bitterly.
He mixed the two into a large glass before taking the ingredients and migrating to the couch. He could still hear the heavy thump of the music he'd turned on.
He plopped down, his delicious drink in hand as he unlocked his phone.
He checked up on Twitter first, grinding his teeth at a photo Scott had posted with Alex.
Everything was always with Alex. Neither cared to invite him to any of the activities they went on during the Fiji trip.
Mitch had suggested that they invite the others - it was supposed to just be him and Scott, originally.
He just wanted to spend time with his best friend.
He figured he might as well tweet his emotions. If he couldn't have fun with them he might as well make them feel a little bad for abandoning him all day.
