I'm a firm believer that this is the view Mitch wakes up to everyday so this had to happen.

-

Mitch smiles as he looks over the sleeping figure for the umpteenth time. He can't remember how or why he got so lucky to be able to wake up to this everyday but he's sure as hell grateful for it.

He always feels tempted to reach out and play with the scruff lining his lover's chin but then he remembers that could wake the sleeping beauty and he's never quite ready for that. He figures if he just lays in bed with him, time will stop and they'll never have to do anything; they'll be able to simply lay there together and the word will stop for them. Plus, he looks so peaceful and how could Mitch disturb something so beautiful?

He's lost and admiring his boyfriend's beautifully plump lips and soft tufts of blond hair when he feels the slight shift in the bed. He feels as an arm wraps around his waist and pulls him closer and he meets gorgeous blue eyes.

"You're awake," he points out.

The blond nods with a smile, "morning."

Mitch smiles at the groggy greeting and let's his fingers finally ghost over the scruffy chin and come to rest on a soft lip.

"Morning, Scottie."

"How long have you been up?"

Mitch shrugged, "I don't know. An hour, maybe?"

"Why didn't you wake me up?"

Mitch bit his lip, "I know this sounds creepy but I like watching you sleep."

"Sounds cute," Scott replies as his hand reaches up to cup Mitch's jaw. He rubs his thumb along it before pulling Mitch towards him to let their lips collide softly. There's a gentle exchange of tongues before they pull away and Scott's eyes seem more tired than when he woke up. Mitch just smiles.

"I wish we could sleep all day."

Scott laughs quietly, "me too. I don't want to leave your side, ever. It's all perfect here."

Mitch scoots closer to Scott, letting him tighten his grip around his waist. He nuzzles his nose against the blond's and smiles when he feels his lover laugh.

"I love you," Mitch pushes his head into Scott's neck. "Let's go back to sleep - just a little longer."

"I love you, too. Just a little longer," Scott squeezes his boyfriend, resting his chin on the top of Mitch's head and letting his eyes close as his breathing slowed to match his lover's heartbeat.
