He said his workers call him S. I really didnt care. All I wanted was for him to let these people go.
"Well let's start."
I knew that I would need to be quick but also think quick. I couldn't just rush it. I walked up to him, fists raised, targeted ribs, stomach, and face. As soon as I locked on, I threw the first punch towards his face. I missed. Wait I missed? I couldn't believe it until I got hit in the back. Then I got hit in the face. Teleporter I thought. So when he was behind me I punched forward. He was an inch too far.
"Just give in. You're not gonna hit me," he laughed to himself. His laugh, it was so annoying. What's worse he still enjoyed giving me the pain. Damn, I just realized I was wasting my energy. I spun around and punched. Finally, I landed a punch. It was only one, but it winded him.
"My turn." Now I was on the offensive. I gave him jabs, uppercuts, hooks, and straight out punches. On my last two punches it felt like I hit steel. "What?"
"Never fought something of equal strength?" were the last words I heard before I got hit. It was like a barrage of punches were being thrown. It was as if I was being hit by three people, not one.
"This will teach you not to mess with my boys," he kept hitting me. It hurt so much. "Ever had broken bones? I mean ones that you couldn't heal," he continued,"The thing is, my crew keeps us in check. By us I mean that people with abilities. They call us post-humans due to the fact that people will evolve into us." I wish I could respond but all I could do was moan. When I didn't say anything he went on. "You my friend will not be beaten too badly. That's 'cause I want to make you suffer when you work for my boss," to this he smiled his wretched smile and laughed at me.
"Look at 'chu. All bloody but no wounds-at least none that you can see. You know, i heard rumours of a spot in your back that can actually kill you," again that ghost of a smile. My eyes widened at the fact that I could actually die. I can't believe it. This monster could kill me.
"Damn you," I muttered. It was all I could do.
"Get up!" It was both Emma and Matt. For some reason, i actually felt relieved at their voices and got my second wind. So I got up, and teleported to the corner of the room, picked up a peice of glass and waited. I don't think he noticed the glass because of the fact that I stumbled on the way there.
As soon as he got to me, I was ready. He teleported right in front of me, just as planned. I took the shot, sliced him right across the face, and stabbed him in the stomach.
"You aren't the only one, bub," just then I realized what he did. He flippin' healed!
"What?"
"Exactly," his eyes had a darker look to them and that creeped me out a bit. So that was the last thing I saw before I blacked out.
