The whistle was all the indication I needed that things had begun. I looked around in awe as I saw the cryokinetic easily create two blades out of ice. The quickster began and as expected he started running all over the place. He ran pretty much all over the place with a pattern that was so easy to see that I sort of expected it when the terrakinetic made a wall of stone appear out of the ground causing the speedster to slam into it. While watching this happen, out of the corner of my eye, I saw the human candle making his way to me.

I looked at him and smiled. I turned my body into something similar to steel, and sprinted towards him. The look on his face for some reason brought me amusement. He was morbidly terrified. I laughed as I tackled him to the ground. I hit him once across his right cheek and his flame-like appearance went out immediately. I hit him a second time to make sure. Getting up, I noticed that the cryo wasn't anywhere anywhere in front of me and I saw that the quickster was facing off with the Bull-stone or whatever his name was.

That's when I heard something coming from behind me. It was Freeze-flame. He was flying towards me at a high speed with his ice knives being pulled out. I dove to my right and did a type of roll maneuver so as to get to my feet quicker. I turned to face him and saw he was already coming back. I ended up turning my fists to steel and covering them with a white flame. As soon as he was close enough to punch, I uppercut him and he flew back in the direction he came and into the quickster. This took both of them down as he was soaring at a speed of at least fifty miles an hour.

Bull-stone turned his head towards me and we locked eyes. After what felt like hours but must've been only a few seconds, our little "staring contest" ended and we charged at each other. As soon as we were about two yards form each other, I took a sidestep and stopped right beside him. He looked at me confused, but it was probably because he didn't see me freeze the floor right in front of him.

Once he noticed what I did it was to late. His momentum caused him to slip and crash into the very same wall he stopped the quickster with. I teleported right next to him and grabbed his ankle. I teleported to the top of the arena and dropped him. I flew towards the bottom and waited for him. Once he got to the bottom, I gave him a hard left hook to the stomach. and he fell a couple feet away from me. I thought it would be enough to take him down, but I guess not.

He got up from where he was and he smiled. I smiled too, knowing that I must've at least broken a few of his ribs and cased him to bleed from his face a bit. Still though, it wasn't enough. He stood up and took a few steps back, clutching his side as he did this. I noticed that the crowd was now cheering, and surprisingly enough, it was for me.

"DeadShot! Deadshot!" They cried.

I tried not to lose focus, but in that split second that I admired the attention, I saw that Bull-stone covered himself in a type of armor made of rock.

"Are you serious?" I looked at him. If only I knew how to undo that armor. Instead, I covered myself with my metal armor, and then put on a layer of rock armor of my own. I dashed towards him with the speed of a quickster and added super strength to my punch. I gave him a couple of jabs to his sides and face. The punches I aimed at his face were effective enough to cause him to grunt in pain and then chip off pieces of the rock. I was slowing down, and it was probably from using so much energy. I felt like a person who'd just run a marathon and continued to work out on a treadmill.

He must've seen this, because after a few more punches, he dodged one, removed my layer of rock armor, and then created a sword and shield out of it. I needed to get out of there. I teleported to a side of the arena and waited. As expected, he came after me. I waited for a moment then sent out to brst of energy, along with a couple of stones I found on the floor. This cased him to stop, and take the energy head on. He began knocking away some of the stone while the rest where hitting him. This created a momentary distraction, enough for me to get back into the fight. Luckily one of stones knocked away the sword and let me tackle him. I landed on top of him and I repeatedly punched him in the face, adding the white hot flame to my fist.

He wasn't moving anymore but something inside me snapped, I couldn't stop sending wave after wave of punches. After what seemed like the thirtieth punch, I stopped. I noticed that I stopped using the flame and I noticed that my knuckles bled despite being covered with metal.

I felt relieved. I got up and looked at the crowd, who was still cheering. I saw that S was with the announcer in the middle of the seating area, the place with the three-headed dog. All S did was smile and wave. The announcer got up and grabbed his microphone. As he did, the cheers died down. "Ladies and Gentlemen," he said, "It seems that the winner is, Deadshot!" The crowd's cheers became loud roars.

"Alright. Alright. Quiet down. Since Deadshot is the winner, he will be joining us here at Cerberus!"

Cerberus. Oh that's right, the three-headed dog. Cerberus was Hades' pet in the Greek legends. Made sense, seeing just how vicious these people were.

"And since S was the one who brought him here, they'll be in the same crew, unless of course, S says otherwise."

""He'll stay with me," S said smiling while staring me down. As he finished his last word, the crowd roared once again.

Great. Just great. Now along with having to fight again in a couple days, I have to train with one of the people I hate most. Well, then again, he did knock me out in a couple of punches. Maybe he really could teach me a few things. "I'm in," I called to him.

"Ha. As if you had a choice," he said back.

Guess it's true. In the end, I never had a choice. My hero days are over.
