Queen POV

"Hallo there, I am Stephanie Perez Fidal", a woman in a gorgeous black dress stretched her perfectly manicured hands for an handshake which I did reluctantly.

"Er hello Stephanie please where am I and where is Nicholas, why am I here all alone and confused? ", I asked hoping for an explanation.

I saw venom and hatred in her eyes as I cringed in fear even though she had not spitted her mind's content, she moved closer to me and whispered the Words I never dreamt of hearing.," He is dead, Queen ".

I forced a laughter out of my throat even though it felt like spitting aloe vera" listen to me i think we are talking about two different Nicholas, please Stephanie I am talking about Nicholas De Roses the love of my life, the one I went on vacation with, the one I love and who loves me back for who I am, for the nerd girl I am stephy, the poor gardener that turned a billionaire businessman is who I am talking about ", I said in one breath which later resolved into tears .

Stephanie looked taken aback for a second before responding harshly to my latest outburst ." listen to me you crazy wench I think it is enough I am trying to be brave breaking this news to you but it is another thing for you to not believe me, what do you think of me huh , a tell_tale or what, listen to me little_miss_Queen the earlier you accept the truth the better for you and Victor sent his regards". she said before turning away but stopped before reaching the door.

"Queen just a piece of advice start getting acquainted to this place because according to Victor you are his and he is not letting go of you".

"What", I shrieked in anger and absolute rage and fury.

Stephanie looked shocked. "my goodness Queen I only said what Victor told me he hasn't even put his words into action, well if you act this way when I tell you, what are you going to do when victor finally does what he says he will do? ".

"What happened that night I and Nicholas went on vacation Stephanie, why am I safe and Nicholas is dead I do not remember anything about that night".

"Who cares about the day you and Nicholas went on vacation the only thing I care about that day was that, that day my Nicholas died and if you want to know about that day ask from Victor because he was the one who saved you and brought you here" Stephanie said before walking out and closing the door behind her loudly .

What in the world is that bitch Saying her Nicholas................... victor saving me and keeping me at his house............... I thought, rubbing my hands then I noticed my engagement ring missing, what in the world is happening in here, the door opening interrupted my thoughts.

"Ma'am sir. victor needs to see you by the way I am Asuncion Guerrero the head of all the servants in this mansion and whenever you need anything please feel free to contact the maids through the intercom , there is a sheet of paper containing the numbers you need to dial" , she..... I mean Asuncion kept on ranting.

"Why do you look so familiar ", I asked puzzled my feelings are never wrong and....... I swear I saw a look of alarm in her eyes but it vanished as soon as it appeared.

" No I swear it, we've never met before", she said quite uneasily.

"No its okay lets go meet this Victor because i've got a lot of things to ask him" I said to make her at ease and to make her forget my accusations but it seems like I failed.

"Yes Ma'am Queen lets make this happening", she said.

I caught my breath after walking past series of hallways and flights of staircase finally reaching Victor's office. Asuncion knocked slightly on the door tried and my mind wandered back to the moment Asuncion referred to this place as a mansion but I initially thought she was trying to make me aware that her employee was a rich man how come I never noticed that this house was this big,Oh I forgot the last time I came here I was with Nicholas and his room was probably on the second floor I felt a pang of pain hit me as I repeatedly thought of Nicholas over and over again I know he's not dead I can feel it the love of my life is not..........

"Come in" a voice said interrupting my thoughts , a deep voice which I am assuming belongs to Victor interrupted my thoughts while I took a deep breath, Asuncion smiled at me reassuringly before we entered the office.
