Chapter 16

Javier's POV.

I stared at Queen's still form lying on the bed and Victor stroking her hair like it actually belonged to a dog's hair.

Queen's face is not smiley even as she rests so i am definitely sure that something is wrong with her but I can't figure out what it is.

As for Victor he kept on smiling like he achieved something worth achievable today.

Until now I did not know that Queen and Victor sleeps in separate rooms. But yet again there are a lot of things I do not know and unknowingly to them that is the reason I moved in today with my so called fiancee.

"Nicholas ,come on let's go to our room am sure it's waiting for us right darling " , Stephanie said in that irritating voice that makes my head ache.

"Clara......Clara...Victor let go of my daughter ...what are you doing to her...Victor please I will do whatever you ask me to do...." , Queen sobbed thrashing violently in her bed.

"It's okay , she will be fine . She's just having a nightmare " , The doctor said as Queen nightmare stopped.

Victor and Stephanie led the doctor out of the room and I had the chance to talk to Queen . And as fate would have it she opened her eyes.

"Queen ,what is going on ?" , I whispered to her stroking her hair.

"What are you talking about, Javier ?" , she said looking confused I have to give her  credit ,she is a really good actress.

"Don't reply  my question with a question Queen ,I know you understand  what I am saying so why don't you drop the act and start talking" , i said with a frown on my face but at this point Queen had started hyperventilating.

"You know I will find out what you are hiding ,that's the main reason I moved into this house to find out the dirty secrets that you and Victor are keeping" , I couldn't finish my statement because Victor and Stephanie walked into the room.

"Come on mi amor let's go we have a lot of couple activities to do tonight ", Stephanie said eyeing Queen and Queen also gave her the evil look ,eyeing her viciously.

What is it with women ? I sighed and left the room since I have a lot of responsibilities to care for apart from Queen and Stephanie. I also made a mental note to check on Clara to see how she's doing since her mother is not quite strong to do that.

An image of Queen kissing Victor appeared in my head . I shivered in disgust . I should hate Queen, I should be disgusted in her but yet I love her .

I love her and there is nothing I can do to control my feelings or to get rid of it .

Queen's POV.

I opened my eyes and sighed. I have been sleeping since Javier left but I know I have to leave my bedroom and check if everything is okay with the castle.

Oh right ! The dinner . We are hosting a dinner to welcome Javier and Stephanie to the family and I have to prepare as Victor threatened me with we all know who if I don't comply with this dinner.

He whispered it to me after Javier and Stephanie left and no matter how jealous I am right now I have to act like a good wife to Victor at the little family get together we are having tonight.

Victor made it pretty clear that he was serious about Clara's life after the stunt he pulled this afternoon  . I shook my head trying to forget the sight I saw that made me welcome darkness desperately almost immediately.

I got out of bed and went into the shower ,I could use the cool liquid running over my body, I sighed.

After ten minutes , I was dressed like a queen and heading downstairs to check on things like the queen of this castle.

I walked past Victor's office but I went back to his office after having a strange feeling.  I opened the door and what I saw didn't surprise me.

"  Dios míos, Queen close your eyes and let me wear my clothes" , Stephanie said shamelessly as she tried to get pass me to the door but before she could make it I grabbed her arm.

"You are the most shameless person I have ever had the opportunity to come across in this world . You are screwing your fiance's brother in his office and you want to have a shower and dress up to have dinner with your fiance's by your side. What kind of person are you "? , I said glancing at Victor who was still adjusting his pants belt.

"Someone who is so tired of having to wait for Javier to fall in love with me and look at me as a woman . Someone who is so tired of Javier not making love to me but staring at  Queen De Rosas like that is the person he wants ".

"And the best way to get rid of that fatigue is by screwing his brother . Really Stephanie ? Anyone seeing how desperate that hawk eyes of yours look would think that you would love Javier and be faithful to him".

"Like you were faithful to him ? Please give me a break Queen whether you like it or not we screwed both brothers and cheated on Javier we are the same" .

"Never ! Heavens forbid it . I ,Queen Ignacia De Rosas am not the same as you, Stephanie Perez Hildago. So get it through you skull , you bitchy whore" , I said glancing at Victor ,who was sitting down on a chair comfortably like he was watching a soap drama ,before leaving the room and I also slammed the door behind me .

I am not surprised by what I saw .It was really expected of Victor to sleep around but Stephanie to cheat on Javier , that's just terrific.

I sighed as I  headed for Clarita's room.
