Chapter 11.

Greta's POV

If only I could walk things would have much more better. I will never forget what I did to Queen.

But i love my father and i will never let him go to jail. But i also understand what it feels like to be in love.

I don't know if i'm the only one that noticed it but then its so obvious that Queen doesn't love my father.

And that she married him for one thing ,something no one but i know .That one thing that made her made the biggest mistake of her life when she decided to marry my father .

Revenge.

If only i had listened to my conscience that night when I eavesdropped on my father's conversation with Asuncion and Queen.

Then I won't have known too much. Or neither would I be involved in that car accident that made me lose my legs. And I would have never done what I did to Queen.

It hurts so much looking into Stephanie, Lazaro ,mum and all my loved ones eyes ,pretending to be so naive and innocent when I have done a lot of things that I was supposed to be punished for.

To everyone I was Greta De Roses, Victor De Roses second daughter who lost her legs in a car accident.

IF only they know who I really am and what goes on in my mind. If only they know the guilt I feel every time I remember everything I did and the fact that I know too much.

But no matter what I am my father's daughter and his blood run through my veins.

I know what to do.

"Esperanza Esperanza " I shouted calling my personal maid.

"Yes ma'am, I'm right here. What can I do for you", she is the only one I trust apart from my diary who I share my dirty secrets with. I trust her to keep the diary for me.

"I need my diary. Please get it for me" I said to her.

But before she could get it for me Stephanie same in. "Hello dear Greta", she greeted kissing me on my cheeks.

"Hi Stephy how was your shopping" ? I asked kissing her on the cheeks and doing the same to my mother.

"Oh it was great isn't it a little bit weird that I and Susan bumped into each other in the shopping mall" Stephanie asked smiling.

"Yeah it's very weird " I answered her putting on a fake smile but what more weird is Stephanie calling my mother Susan. SHE has never referred to her as my mother before but my mother doesn't seem to mind anyway.

"Yes my darling , Stephanie is right I was so surprised to see her too"She said smiling. Oh mother you are so innocent. " And then we had to look for the best engagement clothes for her ".

"Wait ,what weren't you planning on purchasing it at Queen's shop". I asked confused because earlier on Stephanie confided in me that she wanted to purchase it at Queen's shop because she wanted to put "the little seamstress" in her place.

Yes little seamstress that's what she calls Queen. It no secret to anyone how much Stephanie hates Queen. But it secret to them and not me the reason behind her hatred for queen.

Its because Queen managed to capture Nicholas and my father's heart,the two most important men in her life apart from her father according to what she told me.

Nicholas I understand why because she loves him and is jealous of queen but my father I don't know, I don't know why she would be jealous she doesn't love him so why does she hate Queen ?

But no matter what I will find out, I always find out everything including everyone's darkest secret so this won't be difficult for me to find out.

I am Greta De Roses my father's daughter and I will find out no matter what I have to do, I'm going to do everything I can to find out this big secret Stephanie is hiding that has to do with my father .

"Well I was going to do so but the- " my mother cut Stephanie off before she could finish her sentence.

"No Stephy don't you dare tell my daughter that. I don't want Greta to have nightmares". mother said sternly to Stephy. Yes I do have nightmares about what my sister did ten years ago even before Queen came into our lives .

"Stephy, why don't you continue with what you were saying to me. Mom with all due respect I want to hear what Stephanie has to say. I'm so tired of being the last to know everything "

If only.

"Well I was going to buy my engagement clothes but there was a mur- "Mom cut Stephanie off again.

"Oh no please don't say it Stephy", Mom sighed with a worry look on her face.

"Oh for the love of God mother please stop I'm not a child anymore and Stephy spit it out and mother don't interrupt I don't want to get mad at you".I said with a blank look on my face.

"There was a murder at Queen shop, that was why I couldn't buy my engagement clothes there so I had to buy it at the mall where I met Susan".she said as quickly as she could before mother could interrupt again.

"Who was murdered, Steph and who is the murderer ? " my mother asked

"I don't know I'm not the cops so how should I know that when I didn't murder him" Stephanie said obviously agitated by my mother's ridiculous question .

But come to think of it what if she's the murderer and that was her way of putting Queen in her place.

She looked too agitated for an innocent question .Oh well this woman is a piece of mystery that I'm determined to solve.

Stephanie and my mother left saying they wanted to discuss something in private and then Esperanza came back with my diary and left.

As I opened my diary and started putting my feelings into words.

So our Greta isn't that innocent after all . Looks like she knows too much than she is letting out.
