Hiccup has been searching for days now. Pitch Black is nowhere to be seen and Hiccup's rage fills more every day. He searches high and low every day, never taking a break except when Toothless forces him too. Hiccup gives in to Toothless most of the time unless Hiccup thinks he's on to something, like right now.

The sand responds to Hiccup's touch, or more like the Demon's touch, as it guides Hiccup to where Pitch is located. Right now, a string of sand is leading Hiccup to a spot Pitch was most recently. Toothless is determined to get his best friend to the spot so that his rider can be happy again.

"Come on, bud. We can't lose him this time!" Hiccup yells over the wind.  Toothless roars in response and picks up his speed.

Hours later, Hiccup and Toothless arrive at a cave, dark and damp. They enter the cave and explore, Toothless burning a low flame for light. Hiccup brings out his sword and lights it, accidentally creating and eerie atmosphere.

Hiccup hold the sword up to the walls, revealing cave paintings of people having nightmares. A crunch is hear every time he takes a step and he finally decides to look down and see a thin layer of nightmare sand all over the place.

You think you're sooooo clever, don't you boy? Think you and the Dragon Lord inside of you can just come waltzing in MY residence unannounced?!?! YOU THOUGHT WRONG.

Hiccup covers his ears at the last sentence as it echoes through his head and Toothless tries to drag him out, aware of the danger. Hiccup gently nudged his friend away and stands up. He ruffles his hair, shakes his suit off and hold the sword up in a ready stance.  Toothless fires up his Alpha State, glowing blue from his head and down his spine, letting loose a fearsome roar that would scare anyone foolish enough to take him on.

"COME OUT AND FIGHT COWARD!" Hiccup's voice changed by the Demon. He becomes enshrouded by the Striker Armor, the black mail with the lightning blue strike class symbol and a night fury on the back. The flame on the sword becomes blue, casting weird shadows around. "You don't have the balls to face me, we both know this," the Demons voice creeping in. That's when the tendrils shoots out of the darkness.

"Oh hell... Not again!" Hiccup's voice is normal as he dives away, but another tendril comes straight down and impales Hiccup in the lower back.

The tendril picks Hiccup up and throws him against the wall. Hiccup's eyes go red as he breathes out fire, scattering the darkness. Toothless shoots plasma, keeping tendrils at bay as they go for his best friends heart.

I told you, Boy, you're Demon is no match for me! I've been around long before that Dragon Lord learned the secrets of dragons, and I know how to rid you of it!

A tendril, looking different from the others appears. It has what looks like a barbed head and shining white instead of the inky black. It shoots out for Hiccup, going for his soul. Hiccup is frozen still, Pitch having used the sand to make him have a vivid nightmare.

Hiccup looks around, the burning flames licking at him again. He runs for the door but severely burns his hand on the knob. It's a house, not his nor Astrid's.

He hears the faint crying of an infant and a mother. The voice was Astrid's looking for her son, THEIR son. Hiccup runs to save them, but when he reaches the door it disappears and the roof behind it collapses.

Hiccup's rage boils. He feels dead, like he failed. He looks within hisself to call upon the Demon, and to let it consume him.

Hiccup grows twice he normal height, standing over twelve feet tall. His muscles bulge, but he can still easily move them. His eyes glow blood red as the Demon gains control over his body and mind. Then he laughs. A laugh full of hate, grief, a bloodlust for revenge.

"RRRRAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" he roars out in anguish and hurt.

He will make Pitch pay for taking Astrid. He knows the nightmare was a sign that Pitch took his son. The Blood Sense in full effect, he looks to his left, picking out the form of Pitch Black and rushes blindingly fast, almost disappearing in the air and reappearing behind Pitch, grabbing him from behind and throwing him against the cave wall.

Pitch crumbles to sand as his hits the wall and pretends to dust himself off. He looks at the boy, now possessed by the most powerful Dragon Lord that ever lived, and starts to wonder just what the Demon can do now. Pitch gives a half smirk and crumbles to sand again. He scatters in the cave, melding with the darkness.

Hundreds of tendrils lash out at Hiccup, impaling him a dozen time with mortal wounds. They heal right back up though, but with each wound that gets healed, the Demon loses control over Hiccup. Pitch lashes out again, but this time Hiccup summons the dragon bone sword and cuts through each tendril blindingly fast, keeping up with each lashing tendril.

Pitch plays dirty, and enshrouds Hiccup in complete darkness. Hiccups swings with his sword, but the sand fills right back in. Hiccup falls to his knees, the power of the demon exhausted. He screams in against and pain. His eyes open wide, the forest green eyes seeing nothing. That's when it happened.

He thinks of Astrid. The girl who never really teased him, knowing that he was trying his hardest. She was the one that understood him first, even before his own dad. He thinks of the love that grew between them and of all the times it's saved them.

"No..." Hiccup whispers. "I will not give up... I. Will. Stay. Strong," he manages as a escapes. "I love you Astrid," he finishes, and a globe of shining light explodes from his body.

The sand disperses, leaving Pitch to wonder what is going on. He watched the battered and bloody boy drive away the sand.

"Hmm... AHHH!" he screams as the power of love touches him. He hisses at it and looks back where he has the girl kept but can't get to her and escape. "This isn't over, Haddock!!" Pitch yells out.

The globe of light fills the entire cave. It reaches out and and kills every particle of sand left behind. The hidden cage breaks open, and Astrid floats through the air to Hiccup. Hiccup coughs up a little blood as his loving wife settles in his arms.

"As... Astrid... I'm so, so sorry," he weeps as he combs through her tangles hair. Astrid's eyes flutter open.

"You.. You did you're best... We're together again and that's... all that maters..." she coughs. "But... Hiccup..." her hand traces his face to her stomach. "Pitch..."

"Shh..." he calms her. "It doesn't matter right now... We can... We can always try again when you're body is fully healed to carry another one... I'm just happy you're safe and sound again..." he manages through hard swallows as he barely manages to get Astrid to Toothless.

He mounts Toothless and the take off to Berk, Hiccups arms around Astrid and she sits in front of Hiccup, her arms around is neck and her head in the crook of his neck, fast asleep.
