Trapped

In a place you don't belong. Feeling like no one understands. Like everyone is out to get you. Like all you have left is memories. Memories of happier times. Of family who loved you. Of those who need you. But alas, they are gone. Nothing remains. You haven't felt at home for a long time. Trapped in a place foreign to you. Eyes keeping watch to catch your mistakes. Negatives everywhere. Home so far out of you grasp even your memories are slipping away. Everything gone. Though when you left you thought it'd be better. A better place to live, to grow up. But no. All this change brought was pain. Nervousness, terrible nervousness. And thoughts. None more welcoming than the end. Yet you don't want to hurt them. Your family of your memories. So you stay. You suffer. You lose hope of a better future. You understand why those who have been able to leave have. Freedom. Is so far away. You yearn for it. Yet it never comes.
