The image we have of marines is pristine. Clear and precise. With no sin. As related to one piece this is wrong. 100% wrong. Smoker wants to jail pirates for causing trouble and stirring up said 'justice' he has a strong false sense. He wants people to be safe. But he doesn't realize many would be safe without him. He causes alot of trouble with his skirmishes with 'evil' thus putting people in more danger. He might even be more help on the 'evil' side of things. Helping from their perspective. But no that is "bad" and he must be "good".
