FRIDAY (1 month later )

Jessica's POV

"Happy 1 month anniversary " i said as I walked into Joanna's house
Yoandri agreed to meet me over there and Angie was going to be there to
I gave a hug to Angie and Jo then I went to sit next to Yoandri He kissed my cheek
"Yoandri can I talk to you " Joanna said
"Uhh yea I'll be right back " he said
Then they walked to the hallway
"You aren't jealous " Angie said
"No why would I be " I said "Joanna's my friend they wouldn't do anything"
They came back
"Who wouldn't do anything " Yoandri said
I know how easily Joanna gets angry so I wasn't going to say what Angie said
"Dogs I'm volunteering at the animal shelter " I said
"What since when " Yoandri said
"Um last month " I said I wasn't lying it was true I didn't tell anyone because it wasn't really a super interesting thing
"Oh" he said

Yoandri's pov

Joanna asked me if I told her yet I said no and she just walked away shaking her head I couldn't do it Jessica has been so happy every time I see her I didn't want to be the one to ruin her mood I wasn't really paying attention to what was going on with the girls I had gotten Jessica a bigger ring for our month together I stopped spacing out when Joanna spoke up

"Jessica you're my best friend and I thought you should know this " she said

"Know what " she said looking at me Joanna was also staring at me

"Yoandri is leaving back to Miami next month ... He didn't want to tell you but I thought you needed to know , I know it'll cause less pain"
I can't believe she actually did that Jessica turned to look at me she had tears in her eyes she stood up
" and you said you wouldn't hurt me " she said "thank you Joanna I appreciate that someone actually cares about my feelings"
"Jessica I was gonna tell you I swear" I said with tears also forming in my eyes
"When , when you're on the plane " she said and with that she ran out the door I ran after her I'm guessing she didn't notice cause after a while she slowed down we had arrived at the lake and she still didn't notice I was behind her she sat down and put her head down on her knees
"Jessica I promise I was planning on telling you please believe me I didn't want you to find out this way "
She stayed silent
"I think " she sighed "I think we need to break up" she finally said my heart broke I didn't want to lose her she means to much to me I've waited so long to make her mine
"No please we can make it work " I said
"Long distance never works yoandri " she said
"It'll work for us , I'm only going to a competition called la Banda if I win well I'll travel the world but I'll still see you and if I lose I come back here " I said
"I don't know " she said
Then I got on one knee
"This was supposed to be your anniversary present but this is another promise ring , I promise that everyday I will call or text you and after the competition I'll come back here to see you "
"Yoandri you'll find another girl and leave me "
"No I won't that's part of this promise "
She sighed " fine , but once those promises are broken it means we broke up " she said
"Deal " i said and I leaned over to kiss her I caught her off guard since she was staring at the lake she didn't kiss back this time I pulled away and stared at her eyes she was avoiding Eye contact
"Jess I'm coming back " I said
She sighed it was silent for a few minutes until she crashed her lips against mine our kiss almost turned in to a make out session but she pulled away
"I'm going to trust that you won't break that promise yolandra "
"Stop don't call me that " I whined
And she laughed
"Let's go home and enjoy our last month together " she said
"Alright " I grabbed her and ran all the way even if she told me to put her down I didn't care I was going to make this our best month together and I know for sure this won't be our last.
