Chapter 4

Once they had changed into civvies the team stepped out of the Zeta tube just in time to see Robin round the corner. "Hurry up guys!" Wally called as he started to follow him. The team silently did as he said and followed Robin from a distance...

Robin stopped by the first place on his list, Miss Smith's flower shop. As he had been walking it started to rain so he had pulled his hood up and taken his glasses off. He walked up to the counter and was soon waited on by a kind looking elderly woman. "How may I help you dear?" she asked kindly.

Robin took his hood down and that was answer enough. Recognizing him she smiled sadly "I've been wondering when you would be by. I already have them all put together. Let me just wrap them up so they don't get too wet..." she walked back into the back of the store leaving Robin to look around.

For a split second he could have sworn that he saw someone watching him through the window but then they were gone in a second. He ruled it off as his mind playing tricks on him. Before he could think about it anymore Miss Smith came back with a bundle of brown paper. "Here you go sweet heart." She gently handed him the bundle.

He went to get out his wallet but she stopped him "Don't worry dear they're on the house. I'm very sorry for your loss. I just can't believe it's been four years..." she said sadly. "Well put your hood back or else you'll catch cold. And... be safe Richard. Gotham can be very dangerous on days like these."

Dick nodded and put his hood back up "Thanks Miss Smith..." he said weakly then walked out the door holding the precious package close to his chest.

The team quickly ducked down an ally when Robin came out of the store. "What was all that about?" Artemis finally asked once she was sure they wouldn't be heard.

The others shrugged "If you are still wishing to follow Robin I suggest you hurry." Kaldur pointed out. They nodded and quickly went back after Robin.

(A/N - Wow... just well... wow. Ok so do you guys remember that awful chapter I posted 2 days ago? you know that one with like 3 sentences?! well that 'little chapter' has been read 97 times! (Tap microphone) 97 stinking times!!! in 2 days! like... what?! it was like 3 lines! why do you like it so much?!
