Chapter five Birthday Show pt.1

We all had our horses and ponies groomed and tacked up looking fancy. I was riding patches, our first show together was gonna be my birthday show! Clair rode her horse Rusty (male), Brooke rode her horse Cascade (male), Olivia rode her horse Askara (female), Jade rode her horse Flick (male), Talia (riding student) rode Panda (piebald male), Amanda (riding student) rode Smokey (dapple grey female), Melissa rode Rifle (black friesian male), Sophie rode Delta (Palomino female), Grace rode Amazon (Blue roan female), Tracy rode Charlie (Chestnut male), Alexi rode Dusk (Strawberry roan female) and Rosie rode Santiago (Bay male).
-Saturday 9:30 show starts-
The first part of the show was a small dressage course. Which we were judged on how well we bonded and worked with our horses, how well we were dressed and how well we did the course. Surprisingly Talia and Panda got 1st! Melissa and Rifle got 2nd. Rosie and Santiago got 3rd. Clair and Rusty got judges choice.
The second part of the competition was a obstacle course. We did some weaving and some weird small jumps like an octopus looking jump, we went over a ramp and through a tunnel. Grace and amazon got 1st. Tracy and Charlie got 2nd. Amanda and Smokey got 3rd. Brooke and Cascade got judges choice.
The third part was games!
We did Bending, 5 flag, Tyre, Mugs and stepping stones. Amanda and Smokey got first. Me and Patches got 2nd. Jade and Flick got 3rd. Sophie and Delta got judges choice.
The next thing we did was Show Jumping! there was a small, medium and large course! You could only choose 2. So I chose Small and Large. The small course was a 40cm round, the medium course was a 60-70cm round and the large course was 80cm-1m. Most of the other girls chose small and medium and a few chose medium and large. Me, Sophie, Melissa and Olivia all chose small and large. But before we continued the show we gave ourselves and the horses a lunch break.
