Have you ever done so well in a test, an exam, or even won an academic competition. And then you felt so proud of yourself that u started to believe you're very smart. Besides, your teachers, colleagues, friends and family all speak about how intelligent you are? Well here is an interesting stuff. No one can be as knowledgeable and smarter than our beloved Prophet (Sallallaahu 'Alaihi wa salam) . Yet this is what Allah says to himSurah Al-Isra, Verse 86:
وَلَئِن شِئْنَا لَنَذْهَبَنَّ بِالَّذِي أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ ثُمَّ لَا تَجِدُ لَكَ بِهِ عَلَيْنَا وَكِيلًا
"And if We please, We should certainly take away that which We have revealed to you, then you would not find for it any protector against Us".
(English - Shakir)
Subhaanallah. If Allah wanted He could make His Rasool (Sallallaahu 'Alaihi wa salam) forget everything he was taught. If such a special person is helpless in controling his memory, where does that leave us??
Brothers and sisters, if you ever feel proud of yourself over an academic achievement, attribute your abilities to the Mercy of Allah(Suhaanahu wa ta'alaa). If not for Him, you would not even have known your own name!
May Allah strengthen our memories and help us remember and implement every knowledge we've attained for surely He is The Owner and Controller over all things
(Suhaanahu wa ta'alaa)
Ameen Allah
