He's strong, she's weak.
He's one of the school's bad boys, she's one of the school's nerds.
He's popular, she's inconspicuous.
He's a bully, she's the one being bullied.
He's happy, she's depressed. But that's not what happened 10 years ago. He was nice, far from bad. She was strong, far from weak. He was quiet, far from popular. She was happy, far from depressed.
"Shay!" He called her.
"Come get me if you can!" She challenged him, running through the house yard. They've been best friends and neighbors since they were 7. They are now 12. Always been in the same school, together as long as they could.
"Runnn!!!" Brody shouted, chasing her. He ran as fast as he can. By the time she passed the tree, he jumped and catch her.
"AAA!!" She screamed and laughed at the same time. They both fell into the grass.
"I caught ya!" He said, laughing.
"You're just lucky." She said.
"Am I just lucky or you're bad at running?" He asked, still laughing. Shay rolled her eyes and walk to sit down by the tree and lean to the tree. "Okay okay, I was lucky." Brody finally give in, following her to sit next to her.
"You know, Brody. Sometimes I always think that are we going to be always like this?" She asked him.
"Like what?" He turned his head to see her.
"You know, together all the time. I'm scared that you're going to leave me." She explained.
"Not gonna happen. I love being around you. I'll stay as long as I can. I'm not gonna leave you." He said.
"Promise?" She asked him.
"Promise." He said and giving her a pinky promise.
They both look very happy, excited and love each other. But that was then. Now? No, they don't like that. This is what happens.
