1.8 Poison Pickles

"Something happened, dude. We all saw it." Sam said as, we all stood in the hallway.

"What is that thing?" Jake questioned pointing at the necklace in Felix's hands.

"It's a talisman. Like a good-luck charm. I got it from Phoebe when the attacks started." Felix said simply.

"Do you think she has something to do with us being here?" Sam asked causing Andy to ask, "How is she connected to a wormhole?"

"Well, maybe it's your wormhole theory that's the problem." Sam countered. I sighed and took the elastic off my wrist and tied my hair back quickly.

"Well, she's up to something." Felix concluded put the Talisman around his neck then began to walk, Sam, Andy, Oscar, Jake and I all began to follow. "I need to see her Book of Shadows."

"Her what?" Jake asked the question we all had.

"It's where witches keep all their knowledge and power. If she's behind the attacks, the spells'd be in there, somewhere." Felix explained.

"And if she's the one that brought us here?" I ask.

"That spell would be in the book, too." Felix assured.

"Then we need to get it and make her bring us back." Sam finalized. We walked outside where stray students were standing in small groups. We walked past Ellen who was recording something for her blog and Mr.Bates who had a folder in his hands.

"Don't let this influence your opinion of Bremin High." He tells us optimistically I scoff.

"Only confirms it, Mr Bates." Sam calls back over his shoulder.

"And everyone look out for dog poo. It's everywhere." Bates warns. I keep my eyes on the ground to make sure I don't step in anything. Oscar wasn't so lucky and stepped right into some dog poo.

"I forgot to tell you with all the excitement, but we're having dinner at a Chinese restaurant tonight. Mum wanted me to invite you." Oscar tells Felix, I feel my stomach grumble just at the thought of food.

"That'd be great, I'd love to." Felix tells him.

"Cool, I'll tell her. Bye." Oscar waves quickly before leaving causing felix to turn around and face all four of us glaring at him.

"What?" Felix shrugs.

"How come you're getting invitations to dinner? What about the rest of us?" Jake asks bitterly.

"Yeah, we like food too." Sam points out. I shove my bag into Jakes hands and take off the light blue button up and scrunch it into a ball and take my bag back shoving it into my bag making it puff out and look like a ball is inside. I don't care enough to fix it and zip it up putting the strap across my body. "Thanks" I tell Jake whos nods.

"Andy!" Ellen calls out.

"Let's not get side-tracked by your lover." Felix tells him bitterly.

"She's not my-" Andy began to defend but got cut off by Ellen.

"Wasn't that insane? I've got to interview you." She says excitedly. I groan quietly and ring my hands on my neck just wanting to leave.

"Want to interview me as well?" Sam offered with a smile.

"Um, why?" Ellen said rudely.

"Rejected." I point out in a sing-song tone. Sam glares at me while Jake chuckles nudging my shoulder.

"This story is going to be huge. It's exploding all over the blogosphere. Can we talk?" Ellen asks.

"Sure." Andy turns around to us. "I'll catch up with you guys later."
