Walking through the halls yet again but this time something was different. Oh yes the homecoming dance is coming soon. Gossips have flooded through the entire school of what the theme will be. Even with all of this going on, the only thing or should i say person that's on my mind is my mother.
Why would she not tell me?
Even though i found out i decided not to bring it up and just wait until she decides to tell me about her boyfriend. Squeezing through the gap of students i made it to my locker in one piece. Something was definitely going on today. There was no one standing in front of my locker. By now i've gotten use to it. Shrugging it off i opened my locker door and placed my bag inside it.
Closing the door i saw none other then Trey standing there with a goofy grin on his face. Seeing his face brought chills throughout my body and i think my heart is about to leap through my ribcage. Taking deep breaths to steady my heartbeat.
"Hey, Skylar" hearing him say my name made me want to jump his bones out of joy but i decided not to creep out my 'friend' like that. I returned the goofy grin and replied "Hi, Trey". He looked down at the floor and seemed in thought. After a few seconds his grin disappeared and was now replaced with a look of nervousness. "Um i wanted to know if you'd.....err.....like to go to...un homecoming....with...me"
I think i just died and went to heaven. Was Trey actually asking me to go to homecoming. But what about all the other girls at school they're much prettier then me. I looked up at him with my flustered cheeks that refuse to cool down and responded with a nod. In seconds his grin returned and my head collided with a firm chest. I was in shock that i just stood there like a stick. His Abercrombie and Fitch cologne filled my nose bringing me into a relaxed state and in a matter of seconds my arms wrapped around his waist enjoying the feel of his firm and brad back. This is truly the best way to start your day, forget breakfast.
Someone before us cleared their throat rather annoyingly and brought us back to reality. Reluctantly i unwrapped myself from Trey and came face to face with non other then Nicole. "What are you doing here Nicole" Trey growled and let me tell you it was so sexy. I think my knee just melted beneath. "Well obviously looking for you, babe" She replied in an annoying screeching voice which resembles nails scratching against a black board.
Trey's face reddened with fury while his fist clenched and unclenched. " I, am not your babe nor will i ever be" his voice low and dangerous. Of course Nicole was oblivious to this and kept pushing his buttons. "I'm sorry baby, you know i still love you. Please forgive me baby" She stepped closer to him and wrapped her arms around his neck. Trey still wasn't giving in so he lightly pushed her off and turned back to me "I'll see you later Skylar" he winked and headed down the hallway.
Now i was left alone with Nicole and this was not good. I tried keeping my gaze on the floor in an attempt to hide myself. Two pairs of red pumps were placed into my view of the floor but i refused to look up. "YOU Home-wrecker! We were almost about to make-up but you had to barge in you filthy wh--"
"Whoa! Chill Nicole." a deep voice commanded from behind Nicole. Lifting my eyes i saw Cameron behind her with a growl plastered onto his face. Nicole turned around and all of the color on her face drained when she faced Cameron. "Why would yo defend this piece of shit.. You're suppose to defend me!" she whined. He shook his head and pulled her towards himself and whispered something in her ear. She nodded then looked back at me smirking then made her way down the halls.
