Chapter 24

Gemma's POV

I don't understand! How could he? Why would he? We've only been together for a month and a half! I never thought Ashton would be like that, especially with that slut!

What am I going to do now with this stupid baby? The media have already suspected I'm pregnant and now this cheating thing is probably going to come out, he's humiliated me! I don't know if I can look at him in the same way, I can't go on tour with him, I just can face him again! Do the other boys from 5SOS hate me too? Why would Michael tell her where we were.... Does he hate me? Or is she with him now? Which means she could be lying about Ashton...for money? Fame? What if she sells this story to the press? I'm fucked! I don't know whether this is right for me... I don't want my friends to judge me anymore than they do, I don't want fake friends because I'm with someone "famous". To me Ashton is a normal gut who I happened to enjoy his music and ... Love him. I love him! I can't just give up now, I can't be fooled by something that might not be real. It's time to put my trust into Ashton, I just don't want to be broken if I find out the truth.

Gemma sat her back against the bathroom door, her hands placed each side, one drawing circles on the cold marble floor. Her glassy eyes stared straight ahead, not blinking.

Ashton, on the other side of the door, stood with his forehead pressed against it.

"Please. I need you to just believe me." He softly whispered.

"I'm afraid because if it all turns out to be true and I put my trust in you, my heart will be broken. And I'll probably never trust anyone again."

"I promise, you won't get broken, I couldn't do that to you."

The door clicked and the handle turned to reveal Gemma's makeup smudged face.

Placing his hands on her jaw and wiping the makeup away, he kissed her.

"Whatever happens, I will never let you get hurt." He said.

It was the day of rehearsals for tour, which was in two weeks and 5SOS were messing about as usual.

"Ashton bang yo drums harder with your drumstick!" Giggled Luke.

"I'm trying! This is exhausting ya know, banging burns lots if calories!" Ashton laughed

"Yeah, it's obvious by those faces you always pull and those moans you make" Calum added.

"Lads! C'mon less of the innuendos and more playing!" Interrupted the tour director.

"Sorry!" Called out Ash.

Then the began to play Vapour.

Gemma sat next to Mali, Calum's sister.

"They're so amazing." Gemma said

"I'm just so proud of my brother, to see him grow up into this... It's amazing!" Mali Replied

"You should be proud. " smiled Gemma.

"So you were a fan of the music before?"

"Yes! I listened to them everyday... Still do!"

"It must seem unreal for you then, being a fan then turning into Ashton's girlfriend."

"Yep it is! " nodded Gemma. "What's it like seeing Calum grow up playing bass in front of just your family then now to a whole arena?"

"It's strange, but I still see him as the same Calum."

"It's good that he hasn't changed."

"It is!" Mali agreed

"Hey I heard my name?" Calum yelled over the music.

"It's none of your business!" Yelled back Mali and laughed.

Calum shook his head and continued practice.

Mali Turned back to Gemma and said
"You know Calum speaks so highly of you, he thinks your the mist genuine girlfriend Ashton has had. Its nice to have a someone who doesn't take advantage of them. Thank you."

Gemma took Mali's hand, smilews and replied "I could never take advantage of them. They are all so important to me."

"Let's go and have a break, shall we go Starbucks?"

"Of course! What else?" Gemma laughed.

Mali's POV

Gemma is such a sweet girl. I feel like we can be really good friends. I understand why Calum always talks about her... But that's what I'm worried about; he ALWAYS talks about her! I feel like he is almost the one in a relationship with her. Don't get me wrong, Ashton talks about her too, Ashton adores her and their relationship is unbreakable! But Calum is smitten by Gemma, He needs to stop! I'm worried he may effect Her and Ashton's relationship, if not theirs, him and Ashton's friendship.

After Starbucks with Gemma, I think I may talk to Calum, he's never really been properly in love but It's obvious he is in love with her. And he just needs a little talk to put things straight. Him and Gemma can only be friends.

Caramel cascaded over the fluffy cream which was topped on top of a sweet vanilla milkshake that sat in Gemma's hands, while a Mango smoothie was being slurped by Mali.

"How long have you and Ashton been together then? Was it since you met at that day out you won?"

"Oh yeah... Kinda.... That was... Just the begging. Nothing much happened..." Gemma Blushed

"He must of thought you looked great with spaghetti over you!" Mali giggled

"Haha! That was embarrassing... Wait how did you know that happened?"

"Oh..." She cleared her throat. "Calum found that..." She paused "funny."

"Funny but humiliating!" She chuckled awkwardly.

"Ahhh... This was nice, just to actually hang out with someone who understands what it's like to be involved with the band. It can be quite isolating because around others you have to be careful of what you say." Mali took one last sip of her smoothie and rose to her feet.

"Yeah, it was nice." Gemma stood up too.

Her and Mali now linking arms, they strolled out if Starbucks and back to band rehearsals.
