Chapter 7: Interruptions

"Ummm you guys look busy I'll come back later." My father said as he left the room. I moved off of Garrett and went to exit the room.

"Who was that?" Garrett asked as I left the room.

"My dad....." I said before walking out of the room. He was sitting on a chair with his head in his hands, he looked up as I walked into the hallway.

"Lee I know I haven't slept at home since your mother died and that sort of left you and your sister to grow up on your own and I'm really sorry -" I interrupted him with " It's okay."

"No its not let me finish. I had an affair with a woman while I was still married to your mother. The day I was going to tell her she told me she was going to have a baby -"

"Me and P.J.?" he shook his head.

"Your mom had a miscarriage cause of all the stress she was under from work and taking care of a family. Then the woman I was having an affair with told your mother. After she confronted me about it she ran away with you and your sister in tow. She dropped you guys off at your grandmother's house then she...she...." tears began to fall down his face, before he could finish the nurse came in and told me it was time to take my medicine. My father left the hospital immediately after I got up without so much as a goodbye.

Everything my father said hit me as I walked back into my room. Tears began rushing down my cheeks and I began sobbing. I collapsed onto my bed and buried my face into my pillow.

"Allybear are you okay?" Garret asked concerned. He got out of his bed and got in mine. I turned and snuggled into his side and he held me close then kissed my forehead. "Alina what's wrong sweetheart why're you crying?"

"I...I...my..dad....." I got out.

"Nevermind its okay don't speak." he said sweetly. He kissed my forehead then whispered, "Don't cry Alina, I hate seeing you like this. Oo I have an idea lets watch Step Up." My eyes immediately brightened.

"Put it on!!!" I exclaimed as I sat up. He called a nurse to turn it on . We spent the rest of the day snuggled together on my bed. I eventually fell asleep in his arms.

"Who the hell are you?! " I heard someone yell.
