I was in such a state of shock that I had to read the entire piece of glorious paper to make sure I wasn't dreaming.

SEE YOU ALL AT OUR FIRST REHEARSAL ON MONDAY!
~Mr, Williams
Then people started crowding around the list, wondering what part they got. But I was frozen in my place.
I had done it. I had landed a lead role. And not any lead, the lead in one of the best musicals of all time. All the singing lessons, acting classes, and constant stress had finally paid off.
More people circled around the small list, some groaning in anguish, others cheering with their friends because they felt lucky to actually get a part. I finally pushed my way out of the center, feeling claustrophobic. Where is Jaime? I thought, scanning the hallway. A crowd had formed now, about thirty people milling around, looking over people's shoulders to see if they had made it. But Jaime was nowhere in sight.
"Who the hell is Rosalina?!" the unmistakable voice of Lauren Lopez spat.
"It's the girl who is arguing with Anita right before 'America'" I heard Meredith say matter-of-factly, "It's a good role."
I turned around to see Lauren giving a sideways glance to the list, her arms folded across her chest and a scowl forming on her face, as if to scold the piece of paper for giving her a minor role. Meredith was right behind her, examining the list more closely. She was facing to Darren, who had an exasperated look on his face. He was overwhelmed by her, as always. Joey, both Brians, and Walker were all high-fiving at their roles. I hadn't really paid attention to what they got cast as, but they seemed to be satisfied. Just then I saw Jaime running down the hall, her Chemistry notebook in her arm.
