"I'm sooooo bored! There is nothing to do in here." Kennedy exclaimed while dramatically laying down on a bed of seaweed.

"I agree with you. There is not much in this water." I stated in agreement while looking up at the top of the tank.

I watched as random bubbles floated from the sand and to the surface of the water. Each bubble would bob a little while before popping.

My eyebrows scrunched as I studied the bubbles. I abruptly sat up and looked around the sand for the bubbles. Following their path, I found a large rock with many bubble pushing out from underneath it.

"Weird...bubbles from a rock." Kennedy said while suddenly swimming next to me.

"Yeah....help me move it." I said while slipping my fingers into the sand underneath the rock. Kennedy did the same next to me. "On the count of three we push it. One...two..three!"

Our tails moved back and forth vigorously and we pushed the rock from its previous place. I took a lungful of water as we stopped and I looked down.

We had barely moved it. "Awe......do it again?" Kennedy asked while cracking her knuckles. I nodded and we put our hands back under.

"One...two...three!"

We pushed again but the rock would not move. I set the bend of my tail on the ground and attempted the roll the rock while Kennedy pushed. Inch by inch, the rock moved and bubbles escaped from underneath it until a black circle filled it's place.

"Wow." I exclaimed while looking into the whole. Kennedy came up beside me and looked into it. "We should see what is down there."

"What about the humans? Won't they notice that we are not in here? They should be coming in soon." She asked while looking around.

"We will be quick. Maybe it is a way out. Please come with." I said pouting at her. She resisted for a moment before nodding. I smiled widely before pushing off the sand and diving head first into the hole.

I heard Kennedy follow me as we sunk lower into the dark. Eventually my hands hit a hard surface at the bottom of the hole.

"Omf....sorry." Kennedy apologized as she bumped into the end of my tail.

"It's alright." I stated while feeling around the wall. "It's hard like sheet rock."

She came up next to me and touched the wall. "You're right."

We felt around the wall finding corners, bubbles, little metal knots in the wall, and a smooth surface.

My eyebrows furrowed as I ran my hands around the metal knots. Very few felt wiggly and loose enough to turn.

"Kennedy, feel for the bumps and try twisting them. A few may be loose."

"Okay."

We pulled, pried, and twisted at the knots until very few came loose. More bubbles filled the space as air came from those spots. The other knots were too tight to pull out or became jammed. I felt Kennedy sink to the bottom, huffing furiously.

"Man....these things are as tough as fire coral. It's making my hands hurt." She complained while holding her hands, I imagined.

I sank down next to her and held my own throbbing fingers. "Agreed. We need to find something to get them loose."

"But not now, right?" She questioned.

"Not right now. My hands hurt too much and you need to rest your tail."
