A teenage girl with frizzy black hair and olive skin jumped between two rocks. She could hear the ocean lapping the shore a few feet below her. It was six o'clock, just starting to get light. She gripped the rock and hoisted herself up onto it so that she could see the ocean. Her sun dragon, Shilee Rhine, lit the way with his bright scales. He went everywhere she did. The girl spied a crashed boat out of the corner of her eye. She turned to look at it. Seeing a crashed boat was not unusual, but this one looked different. The boards looked weatherbeaten and salt stained, but not at all rotten. The girl decided to investigate. Turning away from the old castle she had been exploring, she stepped toward the boat. She touched it. The boards did indeed seem new, very different from the ones she'd seen here before, which were all soft, mossy, and waterlogged. Shilee Rhine poked his snout under the boat and flipped it over with his head to reveal a tangled mass of sails. These too were strong and new. Cautiously the girl lifted them up one by one. When she had taken the last one off, she gasped. Shilee let out a puff of smoke in agreement. She had found a person, a girl about five years younger than her, who was breathing only very slightly!
