"Akagawa-sama?" I stopped crying as I heard the small voice of a familiar girl. I looked up to see Yukis' innocent face. I could see the worry in her eyes. I wiped my eyes and sniffed. "What's up?"She came to sit by my side. "What happened? Are you ok?" I turned around so she couldn't see how red and puffy my eyes were. "I'm fine. It's fine. Nothing happened." Yuki put her hand on my shoulder and let me put my head on hers.
I shed a tear as she stroked the top of my head. In that moment, I saw a different part of Yuki. Not the disciplinary committee member that helps Kaname whenever he needs it. I saw her as a friend, someone that I could share anything with. I'm pretty sure that Yuki saw another side to me too.
"So.." Yuki interrupted my thoughts. "Would you like to talk about why I found you under a tree crying your eyes out?" I put on a smile so she'd think I liked her joke. "Nothing. I was just... Scared, that's all." She gave me a "we all know it's not that" look, but she didn't address the subject.

Me and Yuki sat for a while. Not talking to each other, just sitting. My heart slowed down and my tears stopped. I suddenly heard a rustle of leaves from behind me. I spun around to see Zero leaning against a tree. "There you are Yuki."She stood up and ran over to him. "I'm so sorry Zero! I just saw Akagawa-sama sitting here cr-" She saw the look on my face and said "I stayed with her for a while, that's all." In that moment, she saw something. Something in me that was pure fear and embarrassment of what had happened.
She had stopped herself, and I was incredibly grateful. "Thank you Yuki. I'm alright now." I stood up, brushed myself off and headed back to the moon dorms. Without a doubt, I knew that Zero would be asking a lot of questions.
I went in the back door, trying to avoid Takuma at all costs. I ran to my dorm and collapsed on the couch. My finger still stung as I grabbed a bandaid from the chest of drawers. A single tear ran down my cheek while I thought about the last few hours.
I watched in fear as he revealed two incredibly sharp teeth. He stared at me with blood red eyes as he inserted the teeth into my finger. "T-T-Takuma?"
"Hikari, what happened to your finger?" Rima stood in the doorway, brushing her hair. "Nah, it's nothing." I tried to play it off but I could tell it wasn't working. She ignored the subject and went back into the bathroom.
I knocked on the door at the end of the hall. I heard a voice from the other side. "Come in." I opened the door to see Kaname sitting at his table, playing chess with no one. "May I please speak with you for a moment?" He nodded and I came to sit across from him.
"What is it, Akagawa?" I shifted in the seat and asked bluntly"What's up with you guys?" I could tell that he was taken aback, but kept his composure. "Like I told you, we're different. You could say that we're even special. Has anything happened to you?"
I look away as I stare at my bandaged finger. "I was just, just wondering." He knew I was lying. "I doubt that, but just tell me if you need help." I let myself out and collapsed against his door. The memories of earlier flashed in front of me and my whole body shuddered.
"What was Takuma thinking? Why did he do what he did? Was there something inside of him, something that had a hunger? A hunger for blood?" I dismissed those thoughts. "No, no! Takuma wouldn't do that to me. Would he?"

I avoided Hikari for the next few days. Even though I was avoiding her, I needed to confront her about why her blood tasted so... Human. If anything was wrong, I wouldn't tell anyone. I'd keep her secret.

It was a few days later and me and Takuma hadn't spoken since. Rima and Ruka were worried, they could tell that something was wrong. They talked to me less, I sat in the corner of every class, waiting until everyone left so I could cry."I finally felt like I was fitting in. I had friends, people actually liked me for once. Now it's all gone, just because Takuma..." My thoughts went to a happy place, when me and Takuma were studying and laughing and talking about only manga. They soon went dark as I saw his eyes, a bright red. He looked so, so intrigued.
He sucked the blood out my finger. I could see him staring at me, wiping the drips of blood off his lips. He was amused. "Hey, Hikari." My heart stopped as I heard the sultry voice of him. I stared with wide eyes at the table. I sniffed "Why are you here?"
I could tell he was suprised, he made a short gasp. I looked up, eyes puffy with a death look in them. He stepped back and slowly said "I wanted to talk to you about the other day." I stood up and started to walk away.
He grabbed my arm and I gasped. "Wait," I turned my head to gaze into his perfect (yet evil) eyes. There was fear in his and my eyes. "Do you know about us?" I scoffed. "Why do people keep saying that? Who's us?" He took my hand and stared into my eyes. "We are vampires."
